Completely useless, 17K in the gut but with those stats it was a shame letting this disappear, so it is now in my collection.

And as we talk someone got a not so great Legendary Onyx Power Gauntlets of Slaughter... not so great but still worth more than the Bazaar price.

(IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) There was a better one of the prefix Illithid, it had 91% of ADB, 88% of SDB and Critical power of 90% and was of level 345, I think it was a much better weapon than what you bought, it was also ethereal.

10-15m is my estimate, because all other stats are quite low. But that doesn't make it less painful.

pro tip: use HV utils to prevent such an accident.

(IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) I don't think it was an accident, lately new users bring the crazy idea that the only thing that has value is what has holy or dark spell damage, and that everything else is crap. And let's not forget that it doesn't have the phase prefix either, considering it even more garbage for some.

It is almost always a mistake when something like this gets sold to the bazaar; new users who don't use HVUtils often don't even know they have a legendary in their inventory, and just sell all. Install HVUtils! It is THE master script for Hentaiverse; a more modern user interface & utilities covering every single aspect of the out-of-combat game.

I have not seen any new users spreading incorrect evaluations of mage gear recently, so I'm not really sure where you're getting that idea from. If anything, auction data suggests more and more users are picking up elemental styles these days, especially cold seems to be in high demand (although prices have remained high on quality freyr + mjolnir pieces also).

By the way, I concur with Ikki Pop on the valuation - two similar pairs (with slightly worse proficiency!) have sold for 50-60m in the last year - about 12 and 6 months ago respectively. Prices for top-end equipment continue to rise, and the proficiency is not redundant - shoes require base proficiency somewhere in the 570s, off the top of my head, to hit 0.79 - if you have a peerless willow staff (and obviously more if you have a legendary one!). Even if all the other rolls on it are garbage, buyers look at the primary importance roll first, and that defines the vast majority of its value. (If it had high evade and good PABs also, it could be more like 80-100m - but I think that pair would be ~60).

By curiosity, I started checking the Bazaar inventory from time to time, and found this today:

The fact it has IW 10 but ended up sold to the Bazaar seems strange to me, am I wrong?

Waki of slaughter isn't preferable. IW10 stuff goes to bazaar a lot, plenty of people IW 10 stuff they use temporarily, especially weapons, since the extra strike is worth it, as well as to make it void if not already (you can get the same effect with infusions/shard) though

The only thing that waki has going for it is it's ADB. It's be hard to sell, especially at lvl 500, so bazaar was where it belonged.

I'd highly recommend installing one of the percentile scrips (think it's linked on the wiki somewhere). If that waki was your level, it may not have been as bad. But, the only time you can use it is when you reach lvl 400, and spend a tonne of soul fragments to soulfuse it. You'd probably have a decent waki if that's still your playstyle at that level, because they aren't terribly expensive.

I'm being a hypocrite saying this as someone who buys bazaar stuff all the time (and found the odd decent piece), but its usually not worth buying from the bazaar in many cases, expecting you'll eventually be able to use the gear. People sent the gear to the bazaar for a reason (mistaken bazaars happen, like those mage gear that was worth millions recently) but not common enough to rely on).

There are lots of Legendary being bazaared, especially above Lvl400.
More noticeably, you will often find large batches of IW100 leather: some players use them for XP farming.

I installed HVToolBox & Live Percentile Ranges some time ago, but it's more about learning which amount/stat is good for which gear (is x% enough for this stat? not under y% for this one?).
But well, for now I don't bother much with that, and just compare the stats of what I use and what I get at my level. Since I'm still relying on my drops to stuff myself, when I "bazaar" some gear (which is not often) checking what gear people sent in the Bazaar is by curiosity (but it was the 1st time I saw an IW'd Legd dumped in here, this surprised me).
