by that level you could afford power pieces in the 90% or slaughter pieces, plus mithril isn't desired since it taxes less on the agility stat, giving you a bit of extra evasion, 1H depends on blocking for counter attacks

i already, said this before, but you could get slaughter pieces if you're not picky, a 30-50% piece wouldn't go for more than 1m, the problem is the level, a low level one could raise the price

I read in the wiki that it is possible to get "trash" gear of high ranked players as the shop is utterly useless for me. Im not sure what to offer for it though. Maybe trophies from the arena?

At your level you can get many free stuff from WTS forum, just take a peek there and explore a little, you'll be surprised at how many items you can get for free. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I know at level 500 this is a dubious item but 98 ADB Balance seems too good to just throw to the trash can.

A bunch of low lvl (<200) Mag Shield in bazaar now ... a couple are quite interesting for beginners and cheap (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Yeah. Surprised me too. At my current level, the stuff in low-mid lvl auction are so expensive, and the same with mag's. I am now completely relying on bazzar for ~10k plates and my own drops for daily PDwD. I do wonder if it is worth soulfusing though. How good are power gears of balance?

Good enough to use until you go for mage, or getting decent legend power slaughter. Either way, I'd say it's worthy of soulfusing - it's got pretty decent stats.

That's a great equipment, it's both worthy of soulfusing or using raw. I suppose there is little point to use it at level though because it can't be resold. I was tempted to buy it myself but I already have a better leggings of balance at similar level, which I've never used.

Sorry, but I couldn't help but chuckling when I read that. If anything, absolutely everything is ridiculously indecently cheap nowadays. You could say it was expensive when a single Mag Power of Protection was selling for at least 200-300k, Mag Charged for 300-500k.

Now all you need to do is to make full arena runs for a few days to purchase an entire Mag set. And newcomers start playing mage in no time because even that is not that much of a luxury anymore.
And frankly, if you want Mag Leather/plate, there is a shitload of them in the FreeSHop. There even are some Legendary Leather/Plate, Mag Shade/Power in there.

Really, you'll be ROFLstomping monsters at PFUDOR way earlier than you might imagine.

You see, I only played this game for 2 months, and I got my gold star roughly 20 days ago. It was all about learning the mechanism of the game and getting into PFUDOR quicker. I can only play as many RE's as I can and 2 or 3 Arenas per day including DwD, which alone takes me 80+ minutes at first, now 50+, partly due to Monsterbation. Yet I realize that I am leveling too quickly and gear out-dates too fast. There isn't simple that much income in this short period of time. This rapier alone costs me roughly 1.7m, which I probably will not switch for a looong time:

I visit your WTS shop from time to time, and Freeshop quite often. I bought from you only yesterday a Mag power helmet of warding for 30k. I borrowed and returned 4 Mag and 1 Leg plate from the Freeshop ranged from lvl 210 to 304. I know you are one of the operators and I appreciate your service very much. The Freeshop and your buy back policy have saved and will save me quite some credits. But as a donator myself, I would stare at a dozen of mag plates and leathers and decide to bazaar the most expensive ones, and I suspect some others do this too, leading to the reality that in Freeshop many mag plates/powers does not even have all SDE PAB's. Before I use Monsterbation, I got SoL once in a while, and decided not to pick any item without full SDE. I was fortunate enough to that I have dropped two Leg power of protection at lvl 220, otherwise I probably would have even less progress in this game. A friend of mine used to play leather 1H, and he triggers SoL even more often even his Mag leather/shade has all SDAE PAB's, and he gave up and switched to heavy as I do.

This game is not very friendly to newbies. The shorter period of time you played, the less soul fragments you have, then you pretty much need to save them for very good gears, and for me I am only able to soulfuse the rapier and the shield. If your lvl is too low you don't even have the right to soulfuse good high lvl armors, since 1500 fragments requires roughly 30 days' of RE. Then when a newbie looks at those gears with higher lvls and 300k+ price for Mag power of slaughter with all SDE PAB's or 200k+ price for mediocre Leg power of protection, he probably would not buy any of those because he would not want to soulfuse, nor would he want to buy and store it without having immediate improvement. Not to mention sometimes people do sell use-able Leg plates in bazaar, just because in WTS nobody is selling them.

Perhaps the above should have been posted in that poor player cry thread...

I happen to notice that you closed down your WTB shop since your WTS shop hasn't sold much recently. For old players, the prices might have been indecently low, then the bad sales simply implies that the current market is much smaller. This must mean that there are less newbies recently, or current new players are not so into this game. In my opinion, either your WTS adjust the price, or somehow this game attracts more newbies who are willing to play, or the sales would still be like this. This is bad for all of us, as I have some low lvl gears to sell to you myself. Actually, once I take down the current helmet, I would use your Auction to sell some of my low lvl Legs, too.

I personally think it's a bad idea to get a gold star if you don't have an income to sustain it. How much did you pay for it?

Btw, did you buy that rapier for 1.7m or does 1.7m include the IW and forging price? I think you can get better ones at the price point.

And yea, I agree the game's not very friendly to newbies, but I think we have very friendly players in Ask the Experts thread. I also started playing around two months ago, and I benefited IMMENSELY from the old players who gave me valuable advice.
