QUOTE(Sayo Aisaka @ Jan 23 2010, 17:01) The problem is, every point of Interference reduces my Poison damage, so there's really no point in getting more Light armour even if it does have better mitigation.
Is this true? I though only the offensive spells were affected, like flare.

QUOTE(Sayo Aisaka @ Jan 24 2010, 14:43) Mitigation combines multiplicatively (i.e.one after the other), and this one's Scary Ghost only.
Alright thanks (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

According to my PMs with Tenboro, it is actually not true. Interference does NOT effect Poison damage when it is below 25. Of course, he likely did not check the code when I asked him, so he might be wrong.

I decided to test it (meaning 24 vs 0 interference), and I didn't see any difference on the damage, although my poison damage is about ~29, so I really couldn't say if interference does not effect poison damage when it is below 25, or it was just because my poison damage is so low. Thanks anyway (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

That's interesting, because with 39 interference something was definitely reducing the damage by more than could be accounted for just by the 10%-ish reduction in deprecating proficiency. I suppose I'll have to go and test it some more.

QUOTE(Sayo Aisaka @ Jan 24 2010, 05:23) That was you? I thought it was Bogby. I'm a real stickler for grammar and sentence flow. It's actually pretty annoying for me, because it takes me ages to write up forum posts and such, which is time I could be using to level up. lol.

Shouldn't that be "It's actually pretty annoying for me because it takes me ages to write up forum posts and such which is time I could be using to level up."? The "because" and "which" start dependent clauses which are not traditionally preceded by commas (there are certain instances where they are, but I'm not going to go into that.) Do you see any of us using it?

No, but most people don't use armor that would grant them enough burden for it to be useful, so that really doesn't say much.

It really isn't. In my full plate, I have about 80 Burden, so it really doesn't do much for me. Evade, even 2%, is much more useful IMO.

You could say the same about the Godslayer rank : when you have something like 9 interference, 1 less interference in comparison to 2% evade from ascended... i'm setting ascended when i play and just switch back to godslayer for the sake of it when i'm not.

Who is the person adding the Monster Id # to the wiki? That info serves no productive purpose and I WILL undo it all unless someone gives me a damned good reason. (I have a good reason to want it gone, it clutters up the place.)

I don't know who it is, but I find it useful, at least the info of legendaries. Don't forget that not everyone uses HV stat, especially people with "dinosaurs" PCs like me (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I don't know who it is either, but I think it's kind of interesting. For one thing, it shows you that Mutant Peacock and Amphibious Sperm Whale were added after everything else. Kind of a bit of HentaiVerse history trivia.
And unless you've got an incredibly low resolution it doesn't cause any word wrapping issues, either. I'd vote to keep it in.

The monster IDs like that reminds me of Pokemon. These monsters don't evolve like them so the monster IDs don't seem to do much.
The reason why Mutant Peacock and Amphibious Sperm Whale have later numbers is because they weren't in the old encounter battle system.
Anyways, I have a question: Do Arcane Focus and Arcane Meditation despell each other?

QUOTE(EvolutionKing @ Jan 27 2010, 18:38) Anyways, I have a question: Do Arcane Focus and Arcane Meditation despell each other? They're the same thing. Arcane Meditation is the name on the Ability Tree, while Arcane Focus is the name in your spellbook and on the effect tooltip. One of them is a typo. Whoops. No wonder I couldn't search for the answer. I meant Arcane Focus and Heartseeker. I searched, and yes, they do despell each other. So disregard my question.

The legendary info has been there for awhile. The Monster Id # was added in the last 2 days. As someone who was playing back then (member of the 4th set of beta-testers), I remember their addition. They were a lot harder back in the day than they are now. (they were like mini-bosses). My problem with their inclusion is: 1) The person adding them did not ASK whether that change should be made (they re-arranged all the enemies). 2) They don't tell you anything at all useful. 3) Their information is gleaned from a de-bug display of Tenboro which is not intended to tell us anything. (And they don't) If the de-bug is removed, are we going to keep the info there? (It doesn't tell us anything)
