It counts all your posts before 0:00 UTC, and then you get the bonus for the rest of the next day.
I don't think there's a hard cap but you reach a point of vastly diminishing returns.
Like credit gains in grindfest.

There is a hard cap. Seriously, go check the EHCalculator, I'd swear Sonic put those numbers in it.

It has nothing to do with 00:00 UTC either. QUOTE(Tenboro @ Aug 22 2006, 08:53) Each time you gain some EXP on the main site, it will tally up all the posts you have made in the last 24 hours (86400 seconds to be exact). A bonus is applied based on this number. Earlier, this additional bonus capped at 50%, but now it caps at 100%. It's not harder than than. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) You make posts, your EXP goes up right away. Unless of course you made a bunch of posts at the same time yesterday, and the old ones are falling out of the 24 hour window as you make the new ones. I'd still like to know where Sonic got the exact formula from, assuming he actually did...

Actually it might not be in the calculator itself, though I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in the thread. I believe it caps at 2x the EXP, but it's a very slippery logarithm scale, so the first few posts count for a whole lot while the middle-last ones are for a very small amount.

Yes, you can. There is something you can get in the 7th ability tier that lets you upgrade them to level 2.

Like i wrote in the big post on the previous page, here is how the xp bonus is computed in sonic's EH calculator : CODE xp bonus from post during a day = (log(%post_count%)/2*100) Fon't forget that it's a bonus to the base mutliplier, so it's additive with your AP in xp abilities, adept learner and the toplist. If you have 0 point in xp abilities and adept learner, and isn't present in any toplist, making 10 post a given day will boost your xp by exactly 50% (*1.5). It caps at 100 post for 100% bonus. If you have 30 AP in xp abilities, 200 in adept learner and you are 1st in 2 different toplist, 10 post will boost your xp bonus by 12,82%, and 100 will boost it by 25,64%.

This is why the spamhaus exists, Thanos (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). It's for posting just for the sake getting the EXP bonus.

Or you could just post in all the spammy threads in the HentaiVerse Chat subforum.

about the damage there´s something i like to know:
how is calculated the damage defence (what comes first absorb or mitigation), if mitigation is calculated by sum, for example if i'm hit with crushing damage so is physical mitigation + crushing mitigation, and finally which is more important: absorb or mitigation

Q: Is it possible for the duration or chance of proc'ing an effect to increase through leveling an item in IW?

Do we actually know what Attack and Magic Rating do, specifically?

I don't ever recall anyone saying what they did by themselves, so I always thought their sole purpose was in determining (or perhaps just totaling up) how much damage you do with each attack. I assumed the same for Shield and Barrier rating, too, defense-wise.

Is there a set correlation between the difficulty an IW is attempted at and the amount of levels gained by the item? (e.g. Normal= 1, Nightmare=2, Nintento= 3, etc.)

Cake/Easy = chance of gaining 1 level Normal = 1 level Hard = chance of gaining more than one level.
I'm not sure if doing an item on Heroic+ is guaranteed to give at least 2, though, as I haven't tried IW on more than Hard.

less than normal chance at 1 normal-heroic 1 or 2 nightmare 2....maybe a chance at 3 never seen a 3 though.... even on battletoads its still only a chance for 3. so there's not much incentive to try and clear harder setting. This post has been edited by uth: Dec 19 2009, 08:28
