If I have 0% evade on my character stats page because of heavy armor, that means Shadow Veil will not add any evade right?

actually it means that shadow veil will boost to its fullest. shadow veil is added in a separate roll, isn't affected by BUR and will add more when base evade is lower

Thanks for the kindness of a reply and the suggestion. I'm sorry, but I can't afford a doctor to get my script filled. LOL (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I haven't used scripts in years and I try not to use scripts, because I would first have to read all the lines and understand all their functions, before installing them. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif) Besides my "No Script" addon plug-in would be very mad at me. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I JUST WANT TO COPY AND PASTE MY INVENTORY... It has exactly what I've been looking for. Though if I'm understanding things right, simply adding points to MP won't do anything useful if both regen and skill costs are a flat percentage. If the skill causing elemental, dark/holy or void damage is changed from magical to physical (via the Monster Lab skill editor) I assume that mitigation for these types would also change. Is this assumption correct? Also, since void damage is not subject to either physical or magical mitigation, how can it be considered either one?

there's a distinction between damage element (fire, dark, piercing etc.) and damage type (physical/magical)
if you change a dragon's fire attack from magical to physical, it will now be reduced by physical instead of magical mitigation and still be affected by fire mitigation
void attacks are unaffected by elemental mitigations, but they can still have the type physical or magical, so they are affected by mitigation for that type

In that case, the system will first use candy, not ED, if you click 'use restorative'. Could that be it?

So, I'm playing mage, but I currently have "2790 attack base damage" and "2787 magic base damage". Conceptually, it should be expected for a mage to have very low attack and high magic (unless you screw hard with your stats on purpose to prove a point or be eccentric).
I understand that the game doesn't have a direct concept of mage and fighter, and just calculate based on equipment, stats and abilities, but could there be some way to make this better?
The most obvious answer would be that staff would decrease attack and increase magic and/or other things in exchange. Clothes are less obvious, a fighter could for some reason want to wear clothes instead of armor, while a staff definitely is a mage symbol, so I don't know.
What do you think?
