I've been getting to know the weapons/armors and going through a few things. Peerless means the base stats of a weapon are maxed right? So if I have two Peerless short swords, at the same level, their primary attributes should be identical. However, I found this: [ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/N46KzoD.png and [ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/k5rtkZD.png. The site says they have the same base stats (which should be the case since they are peerless), but the resultant values are off by 0.01. Since they are the same weapon, I also assume the resultant stats are calculated from the base stats the same way. My question is if they are the same type of weapon, have the same (primary attribute) base stats, and if the resultant (primary attribute) stats are calculated the same way, then why do these two weapons have different stats? Even if they were rounded somewhere, the outcome should still have been the same. Is there a randomizer somewhere in the peerless formula? I also seen this situation on a few other weapons.

So...theoretically if I get all my needs of exp done from Arena is there a need to do Grindfest?
Also, how good is the scaling for soulbound weapons?

Grindfest is useful at very high level to farm crystals. But yeah, you probably don't need it right now.

Thanks. I wonder what level real diminishing returns start =/it's already jumping by 500K now

Is the magic/elemental proficiency leveling really slow compared to other fighting style?

I just tried removing the equipment that raises my elemental proficiency and the proficiency gain became faster. or maybe not. This post has been edited by Kiriman1: Oct 21 2016, 10:50

they say archmage, but i don't see why crit damage should be bad - especially against really tanky mobs

Destruction staff: archmage+penetrator Prof/EDB staff: archmage/annihilator+penetrator Spellweaver isn't bad too, but it's overkill with radiant phase, redundant with charged...I guess it depends on the style (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

So, the Settings wiki entry says that when playing at PFUDOR challenge level "Random equipment drops will be at minimum Superior quality". So I gear up with infusions, burn some scrolls, and I consistently get average drops in the arena. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Is this a bug, a problem with the wiki being inaccurate, or it just now occurred to me, is it that arena clear drops aren't "random drops"? Dang. I guess I need to burn a bunch of infusions and scrolls and play PFUDOR level on some longer arena levels. OK. Right. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Has anyone collected enough data about the condition and chances for monster to give a rare material?
For example, does the chances increase with power level, does a win is required for rare material gift, Is there any other factors that also count, etc.?

No, but with high PL (>1000) the chance is almost fifty fifty for a high grade material. For now we know that with PL 500 you can get High Grades and with PL 750 you can't get Low Grades anymore.

I actually mean "rare materials" to things like phazon or actuator, those who cannot be obtained by salvaging and only have few stocks in other's shops. I am asking this because the crystal cost to level up one monster is much larger than maintaining several monsters at low level. The benefits of leveling monster's PL up, however, has only a few, such as the increased chance to get high-grade materials, and lower hunger and morale drain rate. Right now, the only concern I am having is that, as you mentioned, monsters with PL<500 cannot get high grade materials. So maybe rare material is also concerned as one subcatagory of high-grade materials? (Anyway, as far as the data I am collecting, no rare material gift is observed for monster PL<500. But my data sets are small so I cannot conclude any things from it) But I guess you illuminates me about one point: at some certain power levels the monster no longer gives low/mid grade material gifts. Then maybe the possibility for low/mid grade material gift somehow transfers to rare materials gift? This is just guess though, perhaps the possibilities completely transfers to high-grade/binding gifts and the rare material possibility is kept constant. This assumption is wrong, since today a monster of mine with Powerlevel ~120 gave me a Crystallized Phazon.
