QUOTE You gain 26 EXP, 10,009 Credits, 10,000 GP and 5 Hath! Maybe I've not been paying attention to these messages, but 26 EXP seems just a little on the low side for my level. Recent change, penalty for not actually playing in forever, or something else??

Ah, I recall the change that meant you only had to post once a month for the full forum bonus multiplier (instead of 5 * no of days posted during last month, capped at 100? or something?), but didn't realize this affected Dawn EXP more drastically than that. Thanks (and I guess that's me good for another 30 days :3).

Other than it being slow going & the drop-down menus at the top taking a couple extra pokes to display and select, the game itself works fine.

I just had Dawn of a New Day occur at 21:35 UTC, 00:35 my local time. I had it once today already and I have done several Random Encounters today too, so basically I got two Dawns within 24 hours. It did not reset my Arena cooldowns though or did any other things related to Dawn event. Is this normal or a bug?

Rare time slip event for IRC with bonus dawns. Occurs once every blue moon.

Is there a list of what to do to salvage something at the forge, to get bindings? There doesn't seem to be any information about it in the wiki. There's information in general about the forge, and a lot about why you get scrap, but not anything about what item to salvage to get bindings. Salvaging a whatever of slaughter doesn't get a binding, but the wiki says that you can get bindings from salvaging equipment. Salvage - Break down equipment to retrieve bindings used on them or to get scrap -
I also question the use of amnesia shards. All that time spent of upgrading an item just to wipe it out? Why?

Bindings are only obtained from monsters in the monster lab, Amnesia shards are used on epic equipments. For example if you've got a 2 PAB Peerless Staff with matching prefixes (eg Fiery Redwood Staff of Destruction) which you can never buy for anything less than 12 million + for example, you want to reset the potencies until you get the one you want. For example Archmage or Economiser because some of the other potencies are quite useless.

You only get bindings from salvaging equipment if you've forged that piece with your own bindings; it's to allow the user to have most of their own bindings returned to them so they can use them on a new (usually replacement) piece of equipment.

Huh. That seems to have been glossed over on the wiki. It looks like someone should clarify that, because the way it's listed as the description of the forge makes it sound like that's the way to get them from obtained equipment. And that the paragraph about salvaging to get back your things is just the explanation about recovering the things you've used. Thanks for the help.

Is there any way to equip gear above your level, or is everything in the shop kind of worthless unless you're around level 450? I recall scavenging there being extremely useful back when I started, but nowadays I suppose you can't even use free shops for equipment anymore. Relying on things conveniently dropping for you seems nightmarish.
On a possibly related note, how exactly does soulfusing work? The wiki is kind of vague about it. Since soul fragments drop pretty commonly and I will always be too unlucky to get any good drops, would soulfusing everything I have on my comfortable gear set be worth doing?

You cannot equip gear that have higher level than you unless you soulfuse them (which makes them permanently untradable). Also you cannot soulfuse any equipment that is more than 100 level over your own level. Hence for example at your current level of 130 you can only soulfuse equipment up to level 230 QUOTE(raposazul @ Sep 10 2015, 08:55) I recall scavenging there being extremely useful back when I started, but nowadays I suppose you can't even use free shops for equipment anymore. Drops rates are slightly different now. Basically doing Random Encounter at high difficulty (Nintendo to PFUDOR range) is the best way to get good drop particularly legendary. Relying on self drop isn't too bad. QUOTE(raposazul @ Sep 10 2015, 08:55) On a possibly related note, how exactly does soulfusing work? The wiki is kind of vague about it. Before 0.82 patch, the effective stats of the equipment scale with our level. Now this only occurs if we soulfuse the equipment. If we don't soulfuse, the equipment effective stat will be stuck at the level in which the equipment was found at. Whether soulfusing is worth it or not is a very hard question. It depends how good your equipment is. I generally recommend soulfusing magnificent+ equipment. But it is best to ask on the expert thread for more opinions.

Did anything change recently? My Cloak of the Fallen effect disappears immediately the next turn.
Even though previously it lasted for at least about 3 or so, letting me heal up, get some buffs and usually cast a spell on the last turn of immunity. Now it's like gone right away.
That sucks.

That changed ages ago. Can't recall exactly when, but it's certainly been well over a year.
