If you check out the HentaiVerse Bestiary, you'll see why he was wearing lots of Fire-Eater armour. I don't know if it helps, though. 17% Fire mitigation certainly didn't do me much good against Global Warming. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

QUOTE(coredumperror @ Nov 21 2009, 02:03) I'm assuming that interference almost screwed you out of keeping Weaken up 100%? So how important would you say it is to have as little interference as possible for low level boss killing? My "best" gear at the moment includes plate chest and gloves, cloth pants and hat, and leather boots. My interference is 52.8 (burden 61.5). Should I absolutely look for some cloth gear to reduce that interference?
Also, I notice the large propertion of "of the Fire-Eater" gear you've got on. What's that for?
I think the rule is that so long as interference is at 21 or lower, there technically is none. Any above that, and there's a chance your spell will fail. It wasn't a huge problem, just an annoying one (and if I recall right, my having full points in Weaken made it more likely to succeed). But even if you don't attack with magic, you don't want much interference, so you can get the full benefit of Cure and Weaken at the very least. I actually upped my Fire Rating by a few points with AP, though I don't know if it helped. Someone once implied that it was more important to guard against Slashing than Fire with Manbearpig, which is part of why I brought the heavy armor. But just using Weaken made the damage from regular hits more manageable. Plus he actually missed with Super Serial and Global Warming once or twice.

It's 25 or lower.

When "Bewilder" is (successfully) cast upon a Boss/Legendary, the descriptive text in the Status Effects icon says, in so many words, that the monster's MAG RES has been lowered as well as its MAG ATK.
Does this weakening effect
A]] Increase the amount of damage you can do to it with your Spirit Attack and
B]] also reduce the amount of damage done by its own Spirit Attacks??

I just took down ManBearPig at lvl 50. The PA+Spirit method is just mean, lol. I used 1 Scroll of Life (which didn't proc, since he never cast Global Warming), 1 Godly Spirit Draught, and 1 Godly Mana Potion (the shop is out of draughts, grrr). He was pretty much just a pushover. What should I do with this smelly [ManBearPig Tail]? Which one do you guys think I should try next: Dalek, Mithra, or White Bunneh? I have 2 Tokens of Blood remaining. This post has been edited by coredumperror: Nov 22 2009, 03:25

I have 2 Tokens of Blood remaining. I think the only things you can do with a trophy are sell it, give it to Snowflake, or keep it. As for the next boss, I can only say Mithra, since she's the only other one I have experience with (and I'm out of tokens (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)). Plus her attack type is also Slashing, so in theory whatever you wore for MBP might be nearly as good for her, assuming you Weaken her. But that's her regular hits. You should only need to watch out for Undress and Purr, but the same tactics apparently work.

I think you might be confusing Overwhelming Strikes for Haste. I wanted as much protection as I could afford without ruining my interference, so I went in there with 1H+Shield, rather than my usual DW. Right after my PA proced with my Overcharge maxed for the second time, the special 1H style proc came up (Overwhelming Strikes), giving me an additional 15% damage. So I did a little jig, and proceeded to wtfpwn MBP. The only magic I have is Cure and Shield, 5-pt Weaken, 1-pt Poison, and 1-pt Sleep (which I tried out for fun, but I'll spec out of it the next time I reset my abilities). I'm really liking PA+Poison, though, so I may end up slotting some more AP into Poison. Does anyone know how much Poison reduces the monster's evade chance?

Does Shadow Veil "add" to your Evade stat, or does it effectively decrease enemy physical attack accuracy? I'm trying to figure out whether it makes them miss their attacks more or make me evade more.

I would assume it adds to your physical evade stat, so it would still show as evade attacks and not misses. But I've never really looked that closely at my log to confirm.

I noticed that the wiki mentions the GT Aura, which you apparently get by subscribing to HentaiKey. However, the wiki has no information about what this aura does. Does it even still exist in the game? If so, does anyone know what effects it has?

I'm pretty sure that's outdated, I don't think I've seen anyone with a gt aura.

Hey Uth, I notice that you've got the Tristar Aura. The Wiki is apparently outdated on how many credits one received for each of the Metalic Auras above Gold. How much do you earn per Dawn from Tristar?
Does anyone know how many credits the auras above Tristar give per Dawn?

Check the EHCalculator (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) It has the answer to almost all questions of this type.

What is the best method to gain good quality items?
Heroic on a flimsy item world?
Normal on Fine??
Anyone have any ideas? I'm sick of my crappy items.

The problem with flimsy on heroic is it takes a long time to get anywhere, they get progressively harder, and unless you have a lot of scavenger you could end up using several of your 10 daily tries and not get anything worthwhile. I think your best option is to try a flimsy high level item (100+) on normal or hard, with a good 2hander to make it fast. It's possible to complete, it's much faster (so it won't drive you crazy taking an hour to get to round 20), and you'll get to take advantage of the round bonus that increases up to round 100. You honestly don't have much choice until you get to higher levels. For a detailed understanding of why, read through this thread, I don't feel like finding the exact pages - though I'm pretty sure the important bits start before page 5.

I think anything you try is a lost cause. I did a flimsy item on Battletoads for 80 rounds and still didn't get anything worthwhile.
