You're doing something terribly wrong if you can't last more than 15 rounds at level 80 (unless that's not on normal difficulty). How much mitigation do you have?

I can't go past 15 rounds on nightmare, monsters start to parry/evade even when I have 110% accuracy. They seem to hit me a lot even when I'm using Shadow Veil
31.1% Phys 22.3% Mag 22% Evade 41% Parry 39% Resist

QUOTE(y-u-no-face111 @ Mar 24 2013, 15:49) If a Lv300 item is sold to a Lv100,will it keep the stats or will it be scaled down to Lv100 stats? Equipments don't have levels. Whatever you see here just appears as this to anyone at 299. (Supportive should be about 22.80 if you're still at 81.) Noodles are known to give at least average or above.

I'm going with DW and 50+ level However, my backstab skill is not seen to be anywhere. What is the min. proficiency of DW to unlock it? Also "Invest in EXP tanks after a fair amount of Adept Learner training." form wiki. Why after? I invest in both simultaneously. Is it wrong? Also I haven't invested any point to the MP's given I'm melee. This post has been edited by kenji17_LP: Apr 1 2013, 23:53

For skills your proficiency needs to be over 50, not just your level.

Thank you Guess I'm going to drop difficulty and grind proficiency then. Do you know the answer to my other question?

It is just to say that the first levels of adept learner are cheaper than investing into EXP tanks, i.e. it's just a "cost to benefit" relation. There's no game mechanic reason for it: it does not matter in which order you take EXP tanks and/or adept learner, in the end you will have the same experience bonus. In the formula the benefits from both are separate: roundup(get_exp * aura_bonus * (1 + hath_perk_bonus / 100) * (1 + ( ap_bonus + training_bonus + toplist_bonus + posting_bonus) / 100)) On the other hand, what the wiki says is very wise. Do not invest in EXP tanks until level 250, there's always something more important to spend the ability points until then (and that includes some supportive and deprecating magic for a meele). QUOTE Also I haven't invested any point to the MP's given I'm melee.
You will need the MP for buffs (like haste and protect) and for deprecating magic against bosses, MP tanks are better than EXP tanks for the current example.

QUOTE(kenji17_LP @ Apr 1 2013, 19:02) Thank you Guess I'm going to drop difficulty and grind proficiency then. Do you know the answer to my other question? Don't grind prof at your level. FFS, don't. Boring, slow, and there's little benefit to it. Level up first, then grind prof (it's faster at higher levels). Even Cirno knows that. Once you hit somewhere in the 100s, prof starts catching up. Once you hit 200s, it really starts catching up. Backstab is kind of meh, you'll usually be better off just rocking Spirit Stance. It's Frenzied Blows that rocks the house, and you won't get the prof for that until probably at least level 150 (and you'll need some serious OC tank investment as well to get the 175 OC needed for the full chain, which is part of why you really won't be able to afford XP tanks for a while). Rushing Backstab is not really a good use of time. The thing about XP tanks is that the same AP applied elsewhere can make you tougher, stronger or otherwise better at killing and surviving. Dead players get no XP. If you're better at killing, you can up the difficulty, which can give more XP multiplier than the XP tanks would. This post has been edited by PK678353: Apr 2 2013, 13:06

I remember overcharge meter giving a bonus to damage a long time ago. Did this change? I'm using melee and would like to know if it's better to run at 100% constantly or use it up for skills every time it fulls up.

Long time ago, each 3% OC give 1% physics damage on normal attack, so people seldom use skill. (skill at that time use all the OC & SP). Currently, OC boost the damage of skill only so there is no reason to keep it max all the time. edit:typo This post has been edited by Colman: Apr 2 2013, 14:00

That's what I thought after consulting the wiki, but I just wanted to make sure. Thank you.

How about Auras? Should I unlock their all of them for the first %7 power+exp or I should go with the ones that I need? I have R(rank 2), G(rank 2), O and V open now,I'll either open new one, or upgrade orange.

I think that would be what you want, if you want a little more experience and power then unlock all of them first, otherwise concentrate on upgrading the auras that support your play style

Is there any order to upgrade or IW equipment? I'm a noob to the forge and item level systems and am getting to the point where I need to either buy better gear or upgrade what I have. In particular, how should I upgrade this rapier? I use DW/light and mostly just do IWBTH hourlies. All my other gear is just superior quality so I won't be investing bindings in them.
