Question: the difference between bubblegum and flower vase?
I know flower vase significantly increases attack+magic hit/crit chances and ratings, evade chance, and resist chance (did I leave anything out?).
I can't find any solid info about bubblegum, except I think it guarantees crits?

Bubble gum lasts 5 turns, it's 3 effects, kicking ass, regeneration, replenishment. First effect guarantees crits. Something there might be wrong because it's been a while since I tried one. Flower vase I haven't gotten/used one yet but from the forum, it gives you ______ imprint or something like that which increases your hit chance/hit damage... or something like that.

I kinda want that "other than make attacks hit harder" info (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I want to take on the IPU, and trying to decide on items to bring, so need to know what they do lol. This post has been edited by DemonEyesBob: Nov 7 2009, 04:42

Well I think the only way your finding out is bugging Tenboro, cause from what I recall the tooltip for it isn't very helpful.

I think Hito might know. There's an old post of his where he talked about using a soul stone and bubblegum together (way back when tier 1 bosses where generally unbeatable).

think it was when he beat flying spaghetti monster. I think he said the same thing; that it makes stuff do more dmg.

This is all I managed to turn up. I wanted to know if my Flower Vase would be useful for something... still don't really know the answer to that one. QUOTE(Ebil☆Panda @ Jul 24 2009, 00:31) i wanted to know what the flower vase did, so i used it
-Sleeper Imprint- Your attack rating, magic rating, attack hit/crit chance, magic hit/crit chance, evade chance, resist chance, and action speed increases significantly for a short while. Expires in 7 turns.
edit: nice 6 1 You crit Cockatrice for 1113 physical damage. {EDIT 3:<normal 742>} 5 1 You crit Mantitcore for 1147 physical damage.
edit2: very nice 1 8 Inferno hits Cookie Monster for 1690 fire damage. 1 5 Inferno blasts Scary Ghost for 2880 fire damage. 1 3 Inferno hits Green Slime for 2615 fire damage. 1 2 You cast Inferno.

As I heard, penetrated poison (Poison cast on mob with Penterated Armor in effect) deals more damage. Is this applies to breached poison (Poison cast on mob with Bteached Defence in effect) as well?
While we at it, what do you think if Magic Missle procs Penetrated Armor? As for now, it quickly becomes obsolete, with maxed elementral spells being able to cost less and do more damage and procing something when RNG feels like it. But if MM would be able to proc something this useful, mages would consider using it agai, I think.

most likely it would increase poison dmg, but very very very little since breached defense reduces defense by an almost negligible amount, while armor pen basically makes the enemy defenseless. And making magic missles have a chance to proc armor pen would actually be pretty sweet, it would certainly make fight bosses and legendaries significantly easier for mages, while still not being too overpowered since its single cast and non-elemental.

Those of you who have used things like Flower Vase or Bubble Gum.... ...those of you who have used these Items on Legendaries, does the increased damage ignore the vastly higher Armor Ratings of these creatures and do much more damage than usual?? (Trying to find a way to do more than 80-90 points of DMG per hit against a 10,000+ Hit Point Legendary without a PA proc weapon. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) )

Well, I haven't used a flower vase yet, but a soul stone increases damage (50%) throughout the whole fight - making it an attack item (and also good for a 50% boost to your soul attack damage), while bubble gum lasts 5 turns - making it an high magic critical and soul attack item (good for finishing off the legendary). From what I've seen from your forum posts, your playing style matches the first one better. It'll increase your damage to to maybe 120 each turn, which matters a lot because you cut the battle time by 1/3 and have to carry a lot less items.

Do you Grandmasters think that it is possible to get as far you guys can -especially in terms of defeating Legendaries and the super-high level Arenas -with only stuff that you can get from random Equipment Drops -or do you really need super-specialized, super-rare Equipment??

Super-specialized, super-rare equipment comes from random drops too, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Well obviously all of Hito's gear is from random drops since I'm not sure wear he would buy stuff better then what he has, me personally everything I use is from drops/shrine.

I don't/didn't know whether or not the very rarest, very best Armors and Weapons were things that you can get via random drops, or if, In Tha Beginning, Tenboro created a very limited, finite number of these things and they all got snapped up early on and the rest of us can never ever see the best of them. EDIT: Certainly you can't blame me for thinking that that was the case when even some of the Grandmasters here complain about not having some of the same awesome Armors/Weapons that other veterans do. where else can you get gear besides drops and shrine, and for the most part the shrine spits out crap...And I have no idea what your talking about regarding this super-specialized gear...All gear is generated randomly, I think the only thing that Tenboro made a finite number of was the mysterious box.

QUOTE(uth @ Nov 7 2009, 23:16) where else can you get gear besides drops and shrine, and for the most part the shrine spits out crap... Note that in my previous Post, I wondered if, ".....In Tha Beginning...." meaning that I thought that there was an extremely limited stock of super-specialized Weapons and Armor made early on in HV's infancy, and that none of those rare things would ever be available again once they were snatched up. QUOTE And I have no idea what your talking about regarding this super-specialized gear... As I also said earlier, the fact that even some of the Grandmasters were in awe of the Armors/Weapons possessed by other Grandmasters, led me to believe that some stuff was deliberately made in limited number, maybe even unique, one-of-a-kind items.
