why is the scroll and infusion supply in the ITEM SHOP
always empty?

is there a certain time to get them ?
or can we get more of them in stock or however supply works?

Question 1:
My gloves give +6.61% magic accuracy, +9.97 int +11.27 wis.
According to wiki http://ehwiki.org/wiki/attributes#Primary_Attributes
I should be getting about +1.127% from the wisdom and +0.4985% from the int. Grand total from gloves of 8.2355%.

The difference between having the gloves on and off is going from 95.3 to 95.7% chance to hit with magic attack.
How does 8.2355% increase becomes a 0.4% increase?

Question 2:
I have used absorb for well over a thousand rounds and it hasn't blocked a single special attack. What gives?

1. You have 80% base accuracy, and those chance add up in a multiplicative way.

Thanks. Multiplicative application of percent is the only correct way to apply percentages. Otherwise its not % (percent) but pp (percent point) which is totally different.
However the formula in that link does not calculate out hit chance, it calculates MISS chances. This is important because the % reduction in miss chance is significantly less then a % increase of hit chances due to having a base value of 20% rather then 80%. And also because multiple sources diminish your returns rather then amplify it (100 * 0.5 * 0.5 = 25; delta of -75%; 100 * 1.5 * 1.5 = 225; delta of +125%).

Absorb is pretty fail except in very specific circumstances like possibly eating FSM's SP attack without taking spirit damage. A Magical special is "cast" while a physical attack is "used". I haven't seen any regular attacks (i.e. from elementals) be absorbed by it.

Basically no regular attacks are magical (even those from elementals are physical).

According to the wiki the only magical attacks in custom monsters are:
Tier 3 attack for dragons.
Tier 2 & 3 for Celestials and Sprites
Tier 1, 2, & 3 for Elementals.

Those are tiers of special mana consuming attacks. The basic attacks are all physical.

PL0 (costs 50 mana): Tier 1 skills
PL200 (cost 50 mana): Tier 2 skills
PL400 (cost 100 spirit): Tier 3 skills

So, before you start facing PL200+ custom monsters the only thing absorb can catch from custom monsters are, theoretically an elemental's PL0 skill attack. Which I have never seen happen.

In the last 20 levels or so I only see custom monsters, every dozen fights or so I will see a singular regular monster hidden among the throng of customs.

Still, well over a thousand rounds and not a single trigger, and I know I got hit by non crit elemental magical attacks as well as some others. So either my luck is implausibly bad for what is a nearly worthless ability.
or it just doesn't apply.

However, as a post PL200 monster this could be his tier 2 skill. Both tier1 and tier2 cost 50MP to cast but the question was whether the tier1 skill elementals get at PL0 can trigger it.
Did you look at the attack names on this one?

EDIT: ok, I replicated your test methodology and I managed to absorb my first spell on a PL130 elemental. Yay me.

I am thinking of the 30 or so non crits 50 mana costing tier 1 skills that bypassed my absorb in the past, most were something other then an elemental. A few definitely were and I just got unlucky on those.

I don't know why I didn't think of isolating an elemental and just defending until it hits me with a spell. Its so obvious a test compared to just normal fighting. Eh.
