You level up automatically once you've gained enough experience points.
Gained xp from monsters counts towards your level and also counts towards your "unused" experience points. You can then use your experience points to level up your stats reducing the "unused" experience points, but keeping the total points of experience the same.

Well then why does my level still say 28 when the TNL (1944 total) is closer to something around 60 according to the (old?) level table on the wiki? Or is my level and power correct behind the scenes, and for whatever reason HV/the dashboard are just showing it low...? Edit: Oh scratch that, I'm dumb. The rightmost column of the table IS tnl, not total... =/ ...Which still suggests it's out of date. This post has been edited by PeopleDon'tDanceNoMore: May 10 2012, 09:19

Post a screenshot of your dashboard or left side pane of HV.
If the numbers are different, I don't know why. I'm sure it's not some ridiculous bug that's only effecting you, but maybe the values on that table are outdated or something.

I guess I'm fine. Thanks anyways, all.

From the EHWiki HentaiVerse Advice: QUOTE Keep Scavenger higher than Archaeologist, LotD, and Quartermaster. Why keep Scavanger skill higher than Luck of the Draw? Shouldn't one concentrate on training Scavanger skill and Luck of the Draw skill first hand (the two complement each other)? I have a question that has been perplexing me for a while now, in spite of my attempts to dig up information on the wiki.
Do trophies offer anything in terms of better drop rates or are they useless and should be traded in for equipment? If they by some coincidence offer a bonus of sorts, do these bonuses stack?

shrining trophies are not affected by training, only your level and sheer luck. QUOTE boss trophies -> clothes legendary trophies -> 2h/heavy noodly -> staff or 2/h Or you can just shrine everything for junk items (stuff that gives you the most credits back, majority of the time it is in heavy gear) and sell the junk back to the bazaar for credits. keep any useful stuff for yourself. Each tier of trophies have its own fixed loot quality bonus: turn it in for any equipment you choose, the bonus will be added into the quality roll that determines that equipment's quality and type (i.e. you choose to offer for a Light, then you may get a Leather, Kevlar, or Shade, between Crude and Legendary quality). Higher-tier trophies also have higher chance of giving you the higher tier version of equipment The bonus does not stack with Difficulty (the chance is always same regardless you are in Easy mode or in IWBTH)

I might be misinterpreting this but to me it sounds like your asking if trophies have any effect on drops or use outside of shrining for equipment, in which case, no there's no benefit to keeping a lot of them.

Unless you're at a very low level (say, around 50-60) and want to wait until you're around 100+ so that you get higher level items.

Well that's for level, this is asking if trophies have any benefit for just keeping them, which is no. Anyways, I doubt people under 100 will accumulate many trophies anyways.

Quick question. The wiki suggests stopping on Ability Boost after 50. I'm going on 48 times and I suppose this is good since I'm running low on credits. But the wiki doesn't say why. So...why stop there? Pretty handy (if pricey) way to get ability points without grinding and dying at inopportune moments.
On the other hand, might be a good time to start on Pack Rat. Six item slots are not enough anymore.

When you're still getting a new row of abilities every 10 or 20 levels, lots of AP are great. Once you hit 200 and wait 50 levels, then hit 250 and run out of tiers entirely, you've basically already filled up all the ability spots most useful to you. edit: Yes, Pack Rat is extremely useful. Thing is, I'm nowhere near level 200. If I end up filling up everything complimenting a melee build before then, I doubt there'll be any harm in saving extra points in case Tenboro adds new abilities. Or if I change my mind and become a mage.

Right, but you can't un-spend the credits later on. It's more of a long-term thing.
You're close to 110, which is the point at which you start getting 20 AP between unlocked tiers.

It doesn't feel very close whenever I see I need about 150,000+ EXP to go nowadays. Also, I'm sure a new tier is unlocked every ten levels, unless you're saying that's going to change now that I'm in the level 100s.

110 is your next tier, and 130 is the tier after that. http://ehwiki.org/wiki/AbilitiesMore AP is certainly better, you're right. Pack Rat is probably more useful though.

Son of a bitch. That long until I get another item slot for free?! Pack Rat it is, expensiveness be damned! How much does it raise in price after the first training anyway?
