QUOTE(derpymal @ Apr 7 2012, 10:54) Which one of you has the revised stat calculation formula that factors in the forge?
Not sure what you're asking for. If you mean base stat for equips, that would be adding a factor of (1 + no. of upgrades/100) for particular upgrade. QUOTE(Mika Kurogane @ Apr 7 2012, 12:52) Is overcharge now useful to us staff wankers or can I use my leftover AP for something else ? Current options are : elemental resistance, more spikes, more infusion/scroll slots, Cure 3, Sleep, Confuse, Absorb, Silence and Heartseeker.
I don't want Tier 2 spells and AB is 81/100.
Maybe I'll just take Cure 3 for the lulz if Tenboro takes my suggestion seriously. 20000 HP for a few turns, fuck yeah.
My choice would be: 1. infusion slot (if not more than 1), scroll slot (if not more than 3) 2. absorb 3. heartseeker 4. silence 5. overcharge 6. sleep, confuse 7. elemental resistance 8. more spikes, cure 3 Overcharge is okay; you won't see so much difference during battles, but it did save you some mana for very long battles if you need to ET. Why silence and heartseeker before overcharge? Well....at least you can try melee. That's funny! It's some good experience (though I still like maging more) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thank you very much for the suggestions, varst. I already have one Infusion/Scroll slot and barely use them if any at all, so I guess I'll prioritize Absorb and then go for Overcharge, because my melee proficiencies are slightly behind the rest.
Greens queued and shall be delivered to your house as soon as possible. They're good for your health, so even if you don't like them, enjoy them while you can !

With the new patch, how exactly does mitigation/damage reduction work now?
Old formula on ehwiki states: Damage taken = Original_Damage_Roll * (1 - Physical/Magical_Mitigation) * (1 - Specific_Type_Mitigation)
Should new formula be like: = Original_Damage_Roll * (1 * Physical/Magical_Mitigation) * (1 - Specific_Type_Mitigation) ?
Thanks.

Damage taken = Original_Damage_Roll * (1 - Physical/Magical_Mitigation) * (1 - Specific_Type_Mitigation) is correct
The old formula was Damage taken = (Original_Damage_Roll - Physical/Magical_Absorption) * (1 - Physical/Magical_Mitigation) * (1 - Specific_Type_Mitigation)

I want to recover my mana- and health points, but when i click on "recover all", it shows me "Insufficient items to restore vitals." What do i need to recover my points again? Thanks.

Obviously, theres no such thing as a free restore. Your HP and MP and SP all recover with time. You can also restore if you have enough potions, or a heal token.

Mana potions for mana, Health potions for health, spirit potions for spirit.
You might not have spirit potions at your level though. They drop at higher levels, along with elixers.

when you use recover it will use the smallest size potions first. you can buy some at the bazaar or from players if you run out.

Correction, every said heal tokens were useless, so Tenboro made them a requirement by removing the free heal at the end of the arena or you can burn through lots of pots to recover. Either way, it has the same effect.
The moral of the tale is to NEVER say something is useless, like how people that said physical/magical absorption was a useless gear stat.

Burden is useless. Interference is useless (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Also, just noticed how hypnotizing it was to have etothex and cantle's avatars in the screen at the same time (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Nah, free heal is removed because everyone's abusing it. It has no relation with the removal of healer. And I still think physical/magical absorption is useless. And the moral of the tale is NOT 'never say something is useless', but 'think about the consequence of your suggestion'.

QUOTE(varst @ Apr 10 2012, 07:43) And the moral of the tale is NOT 'never say something is useless', but 'think about the consequence of your suggestion'. This. Freedom of speech, for fuck's sake. That said, if you post something awful, this is bad and you should feel bad. :3 Also, while we're on the topic of restoratives, since they are relatively cheap by now, get the best ones you can, and max Pack Rat ASAP so that you last longer. If you haven't grown a PonyVerse OCD yet and are done with a battle, go drink a coffee, take a piss, read a book, etc. Then enjoy your free heals. Slightly on-topic : I like my coffee black, but I tend to go for chocolate and milk instead. This post has been edited by Mika Kurogane: Apr 10 2012, 07:54

People won't outright add you to their ignore list for writing something awful once because of how the human brain works.
The only exception to this is FourThirteen, because he has the ability to predict one's future.
