What is the difference between arena, item world, random encounter and grindfest? Apart from the obvious, I mean what differences are there in exp and credit gains from a single round, and chances for loot drops? Item world gives no credit drops, I know that much. But for the others, is there any difference in how much credits you gain for killing monsters of the same lvl and numbers? Is there a difference in experience?
Is it better to do arena than grindfest, except for the small clear bonus and free heal at the end of arena? Are random encounters actually gainful, or just comparable to a single round of grindfest? And how are drops from the different fights? Does one get a higher chance of drops? Or a bonus to loot quality?
And how does harder difficulties scale with experience, credits and drops? If you go from normal to nightmare (x1 to x4), you should get 4 times the amount of exp, and mobs should also have 4 times more hp and hit 4 times harder, yes? But do you also get 4 times more credits and 4 times higher chance of item drops? Or at least 4 times better quality of the drops? Or is it actually better to play on easiest, and kill the monsters quickly, if it's credits you are after?

Base XP gain depends on the monster's Power Level if it is a custom monster (+1% per PL). Higher arenas have higher XP modifiers and higher loot quality bonuses. They also have a increased chance of equipment drops on the last round (100% for level 200+ arenas). Lower arenas give way less experience than deep GF or deep IW in a high-quality item since they also have fewer monsters. Hourlies are comparable to a GF 50th round, including the associated loot quality bonus. Difficulty does not affect droprate. It affects your loot quality bonus up to Battletoads. QUOTE For quality, you do a roll between 1 and 1000. The loot quality bonus is simply added to that. When it has rolled to see what type of consumable you get, it uses the loot quality to look up what tier of item you get. If you get a restorative, you'd need a quality of 1300 or more to get a Godly potion, which means that to even have a chance of reaching that you'd need a 1500+ base bonus just to have a chance of getting it on Cake - which is a very high bonus. For an hourly encounter it is base 250, and the "round bonus" caps at +500 [at round 100]. QUOTE Playing on Battletoads already gives you a +500 bonus to the loot roll in addition to a 4x bonus to the monster stat calculations for loot quality on mobster drops. QUOTE [Loot quality bonuses] start with the second arena challenge, but they don't scale very fast until you start getting into the real ones. Graduation has +100, then they increase by about +50 for each level. (Hopefully, I've quoted the right ones this time. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ) Monsters don't hit that much harder (still painful), but they do get their stats and XP scaled accordingly. AFAIK, playing anything higher than Hard won't earn you more credits. For credits, you should aim for the quickest clear, since it means more rounds, more loot, and thus more credits. Play on Normal/Hard for this. (More stamina burnt as well, though, so you might want to save your top arenas for the highest difficulty you can clear them at with Great status.) How do you put your newly created monster to work?
Made one in the monster lab a few days ago, but so far, it hasn't won a single fight. Do I just have bad luck, a bad monster or are wins very rare and uncommon? Or is there something I have not done so that the monster is still stomping in his booth and not being let out to fight?
It has just a single crystal upgrade on him, does that make any difference?

It will take time, low level monsters can get steamrolled even by naked level 1 newbies. Give it more crystals if you want it to win more.

Your monsters will also need to be of a high enough PL to actually appear in battles.
PL 20-30 should work for starters, but don't expect them to win very often.

Will the "legacy" mini-bosses (Manthra, Mind Raper, etc) eventually be phased out once it's possible to upgrade custom monsters?

I was wondering if I can use an autoclicker to play HV. The only thing it'll change for me is I won't have to spam click on mobs I attack. I just don't want to break my mouse clicking too much. If it's not allowed then I'll just go figure out that keymapping thing since I know thats allowed.

No. Anything that automates series of actions is banned.

Is there a quick-command click to attack a monster? I've just found one that selects attack, but since that's the default action anyways, it's kinda worthless. Also, is there any statistics on player-created monsters? More specifically, just how many of them are giants? I'm using a mace, and it seems like 3/4 at least, of all player-created monsters are giants. Maybe a fix so that they aren't the most powerful monster anymore, and we can get some diversity instead?

Nope, just want it to keep clicking, I'd be moving mouse myself to target mobs. Like I say reason I wanted it is because I don't want to break my mouse spam clicking to attack mobs. With how many rounds played and amount of clicks per round, it'd break my mouse sooner or later >.<.

Yea, level a bit and you'll quickly see more of them than the regulars. Eventually they'll be the only regulars you'll really see will be the bosses and mini-bosses.

The restoratives option, underneath spirit points bar, when you are out of combat, where you can recover health, mana and spirit. Does that cost anything to use? I tried it, and saw no change in my credits. Or is it paid afterwards? Or in xp points or something?
