Does anyone actually use confuse? I remember trying it a long time ago, but when the mobs did next to no damage to each other I gave it up as worthless.

Didn't use it, so you might want to /thread right now.

Still there? Then this won't be for naught:

I can imagine it being of actual use now that there're high-damage skills. What I absolutely hate about the spell is 1. that you might disspell it when attaking the confused monster and 2. that you still can get hit by it. So you have two opposite aims: weakening/slowing it so you won't die and having it be at agitated status, pissed and powerful enough to do damage. Also it gets worse when there're less monsters onscreen because confused ones won't hit themselves. This is especially bad in the situation when you generally face strong monsters - one on one.
Now, you could argue that it is possible to spam confuse on every enemy on the field. This is heavily defeated by a) being way too time/cost intensive and b) too ineffective. The time you're debuffing could be spent wacking/casting instead.

So, when would this spell come in handy? Imo, only under these circumstances:

1. You're facing at least 2-3 enemies you can't kill fast by casting/hitting.
2. At least one of those is dealing a massive or at least a decent amount of damage...
2b. that is not enough to kill you or
2c. that is relativized by Spirit Shield or Spark.
3. You do not do much damage by yourself.
4. You do not use 2h or aoe spells.

It would be funny if Mace proc Confuse instead of stun. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Yea Confuse seems like a poor man's Sleep. If I wanna not worry about a monster I want it nice and disabled, not in a kinda-sorta-might-hit-me-or-something-else state.

If it guaranteed that the monster hit other targets as long as other targets were available
OR
if it was allowed to hit itself and not break the effect (meanwhile still keeping the threat of hitting you) it would be much better.

Have you ever tried to use confuse when you're facing a single monster? That's "fun".

Sure. It was fun; since testing new thing is a fun thing to do to me.

FYI, casting Sleep VS 1 monster was fun as well.

So do I actually I would prefer a 2nd wind instead of this blessed status for 20 turns :S

I'd add that the current rules about Powerup gems tend to make up well for Second Wind. A well-played Health, Mystic, or especially Mana Gem can really make the difference in a long Arena or Grindfest, so while I actually thought "OMG!!!!" when Second Wind disappeared, now I don't really miss it anymore ^^

I actually miss Healer more, because, being a miser at heart, now I started hoarding Lesser and Average potions for recovering purposes, that I used to plain sell out before (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Nope. 2nd wind was teh way for melee fighters to not use mana, eva.

There's the ACCEPT button on the bottom.
It won't turn clickable unless you have enough Credits.
Don't feel like a dumbass, leave that to me if that wasn't the solution.

Your credits, visible on the left. (in shop)

Not sure where to put this, I don't need full stategic analys, but I CAN find the buttons already in this game...

But anyways, what is a generally accepted method to cross the levels 30-50 nowadays? Daily arena progress is so slow (how can anyone be lv 278 in the time since HV was created?).

And cakefest seems to put my stamina down the drain.

What is the fastest method?

Well, you can go for Item World instead of Grindfest (it gives no credits but more experience, especially if you find an Exquisite item to go in). And, of course, you can buy training in Adept Learner or put ability points in Experience Tanks to improve experience gain. I personally prefer Adept Learner because I have already too few ability points for my tastes, and most of them go to Health and Mana tanks, but that's up to you to decide ^^

Also, of course, you can raise the difficulty level for your hourly battles or Arenas to the maximum you can survive. That also increases experience gain (and credit gain too, I think).

Just would like to ask a quick question regarding the damage mitigation interactive effects.

1)
It has been asked long ago and someone mentioned in this thread that it is multiplicative for say physical mitigation and damage type mitigation (crushing etc.). Can someone confirm if i have a heavy armour that has 10% physical mitigation and 25% holy mitigation does that mean that i take 0.9x0.75=0.675 damage from the normal attacks of the Invisible Pink Unicorn?

I`m a little unclear if the holy attack in the EHWiki means that it is a physical and holy or just holy attack as i havent actually fought the unicorn yet and i`d like to go into the fight properly equiped. This is the armour in question if anyone is interested.

http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=9ee91a4450

2)
And if anyone doesnt mind answering as i`m fairly new, should i bother using this when i go in for my fight considering i`m mainly a caster with roughly 60 cloth prof but 0 heavy armour prof?

Cheers
