QUOTE(Red_Piotrus @ Oct 25 2010, 08:53) Thanks for the numbers, I think the estimates are good enough to add to wiki. Question 1: I've now seen two ethereal longswords ( 1, 2), none of them have bleed. Is it because they are from the time proc chance was not guaranteed, or is it because ethereal longswords don't have bleed? Question 2: Is it safe to say that daggers are used rarely, and shordswords, swordchucks, clubs, maces , estocs and scythes, almost never? Question 1: The first one. Case in point: Superior ethereal ruby longsword of SlaughterFine ethereal prism longsword of slaughterQuestion 2: Yes.

QUOTE(purng @ Oct 25 2010, 05:41) I my opinion. CAKE -> EST. 50% 1 Level EASY -> EST. 80% 1 Level Normal -> EST. 100% 1 Level maybe 5% change up to 2 Levels. Hard -> EST 100% 1 Level maybe 50% change up to 2 Levels. as same as EXP MOD. (IMG:[ img186.imageshack.us] http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/7707/changet.jpg) I don't think that's true. And if it is I'm a very unlucky Grunty. I've done many on cake at lower levels and it seemed more like a 1/3 chance to actually level up. Never tried easy, but normal seems about right.. 2 levels on normal is so rare. But 50% for 2 levels on hard seems unlikely.. I don't do hard. But heroic. And it's not 50%. More like 1/3 chance of a double level gain.

I don't have exact numbers, but yeah, those numbers seem incredibly, incredibly generous.

QUOTE(cmdct @ Oct 24 2010, 22:08) Something weird is happening: From the wiki: I have 207.85 deprecating proficiency: 7*(1+1)*(1+2.0785)=43.099 rounds. Description says Silence lasts for 45 rounds once I cast it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Are you including the proficiency bonus from your staff?

Yeah Ebony staffs also have deprecating proficiency bonus. Lol now I'm feeling like those thieves, that fail to enter on a house, just because they forgot to check if the door was unlocked.

Currently, doing all arenas and about 200 item world levels, all normal, is more than enough to get me a level up (even with no EXP bonuses above 15% AL, star and a bunch of toplist bonuses). In fact, I don't want to level so fast, because at the current rate I cannot make my equips catch up to my level.
I do hear, however, that at higher levels it is more difficult to level. Still, if I intend to do all arenas I can each day, will I keep leveling daily, or will leveling became more difficult at some point?

I haven't leveled daily for a damned long time, even if I do all my arenas. (Who knows what it would be like if I did them all on battletoads, but who has that kind of time?)

Looking at your level, does it even matter anymore if you level up? At what point does leveling up just not matter anymore?

When there are no more new arenas.

Here's a crazy thought. We are assuming that frequency of good gem drops and second winds is independent of all other factors, right? Well... what if it is related to the quality of items you take in?
At least a number of my recent IWs was strange: when I take average items, I barely make it to my target number, but when I take superiors, I make it without using most of them. The % diff in item quality is not that major, plus I note that due to the number of gems/winds I simply don't have to start using my high end items - whereas if I take crappy items, I don't get as many gems/winds, and I have to tap into them much earlier.
This can be a fluke, likely is. Or would somebody else have similar experiences?

2nd winds existed way before IW.

I can do Item Worlds and end up with almost full MP, and other times run out and have to take a restorative. That's with equipment of roughly the same levels, and no changes to the items I take in. It's all down to chance.

This might be an obvious question but...
Since infusions works by "Increase the respective elemental rating" ... then it should also reduce damage received from the same element as well, right?
I just fought Yuki using Infusion of Darkness + Bewilder and survived her SP Attack with HP to spare so it seem to be the case.

Yes. The reason that is not necessarily suggested as a tactic is because most enemies are immune to the damage they do (RL being a huge exception)

Also, infusions duration sucks. Even against RL, they are probably not worth it (of course, if you have the lv. 130 infusion slot, use it, but it is mostly useless - I think...).

The main reason that I use infusion is to increase damage output... and if its also reduced SP Attack damage as well, that's good. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This seem to only works with Yuki, though.

Just wondering, does raising the level of an aura also raise the experience gained from having that level? It seems all the other stats are raised aside from the the experience.

no, so if you want more exp from auras you need to have more of them active at the same time.
