No, that's working as intended. Ether theft requires that a target has coalesced mana active and than be hit with your staff. It'd be broken if both could be active at the same time, as then you could just constantly re-proc ET without ever having to re-proc CM. Infinite mana ^2.

btw, if i have a violet aura, that would make my soul proficiency go up every time i use the spirit attack or an ethereal weapon, thus making those very attacks more powerful in time, right?

Er, no. Auras have no effect on gaining proficiency. And anyway, there isn't even such a thing as "soul proficiency".

The Violet aura increases your soul rating, which mitigates soul damage and boosts the power of soul spells (which you won't have for a long time). See the wiki.

I reached lv 100 but I don't see the Ascended title available. Is there something else I should do, like win certain Arena battles? If so, the wiki needs to be updated (ex. here).

Also, is Cure II better than Cure I or just double ~2x cost -> ~2 x effectiveness?

Yes, level is the weapon level. You get the price once you click on it, where you see the ACCEPT button. Once you click on the item, it turns yellow, if you click on it again - you buy it.

EDIT: hmm, i click on the weapon i want and nothing happens, i see no "accept" button and the weapon name doesn't turn yellow (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Are you sure you're in the bazaar and are not using a shitty browser like IE?

This seems to be a common problem for some people.

At the very bottom of the bazaar page, there should be an accept button and a little display box for the price.

If you are not seeing those, try scrolling down (if possible/available) or zooming out your window.

Also, a bit of advice, which I've beaten to death. You are really better off buying things from the WTS threads when possible. Better equip at much cheaper prices.

The display titles really shouldn't be listed on that page, since they have no direct connection with the ability tiers. Especially the ones that aren't level defaults. I've taken them out.
