QUOTE(cmdct @ Apr 20 2010, 10:44) what's the % chance for channeling proc?
Nobody knows. QUOTE(Lithas Dragnier @ Apr 20 2010, 10:48) Is there a cap from the profiency? and what are the bonus from it?
Proficiency is capped at your current level. Certain game effects also have caps on how much proficiency will affect them (at 200+). All this stuff is detailed in the wiki. This post has been edited by cmal: Apr 20 2010, 17:27

I asked Tenboro to add it to the equipment page, but he didn't respond.

When it was? At least she read it? We could make a pool for it.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Oct 30 2009, 14:45) - While a monster is affected by ET, the proc you can trigger by casting a spell on it changes from Coalesced Mana to the self-buff "Channeling".
I always assumed this meant Channeling had the same chance as Coalesced Mana. Also, Tenboro didn't contradict that assumption when marcho brought it up: QUOTE(marcho @ Oct 30 2009, 15:29) So your intending to rebalance it in the future? Right now with 103 staff prof I have a 19% chance, and to have much of any chance of triggering theft I'd need atleast ~50% given theft still has its own percent chance and coalesced only lasts an extra turn or maybe two from what it used to, and then the final channeling buff, with a 19% chance on 1-2 turns of theft, is pretty much never going to happen.
BTW I have no inside info on the workings of HV, just so you know.

That can explain why Boggyb didn't receive an answer, from tenb's point of view, it was a stupid question to begin with. (Also this information should be put on the wiki as well) QUOTE BTW I have no inside info on the workings of HV, just so you know.
What do you mean?

I mean, being HV forums mod doesn't give me any access to information about how HV works. I don't get any special attack moves either. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Don't worry, I bet after some time you'll get a magical cookie or something, and you can do all the tricks later (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Ok, I have 2 staffs (or is it staves?)
Staff A = 32.25 Elemental Prof, 7.12 Elec Damage Bonus Staff B = 39.22 Elemental Prof, 1.06 Elec Damage Bonus
If I cast an Elec Spell, which staff would give a bigger damage boost? Basically, which is more important: Proficiency or Damage Bonus?

That's easy Damage Bonus, unless the difference between proficiency is very high.

Can't do that. BunBun outranks me. QUOTE(Rei-Tenshi @ Apr 21 2010, 09:37) Ok, I have 2 staffs (or is it staves?)

The Elec bonus on staff A will give 107.12/101.06 times the damage compared to staff B, which comes to almost exactly 6% more. As for proficiency, it depends on your current Elemental prof. If that's equal to your level, staff B would increase your total prof by 4.2% compared to staff A. Now, no one knows exactly how much proficiency affects spell damage, but the increase in damage has to be less than 4.2% (because you do non-zero damage with zero proficiency). Oh, and if you're wearing any Elementalist gear, of course that would further reduce the advantage you get from staff B.

is Estoc that useful? I find it less significant compared to longsword but I'm not sure.

I don't think Estocs are popularly-used weapons. High-Bleed Longswords or Katanas are better for grinding because the Bleed will kill any normal enemy without doing anything extra too them. For Arenas, you're really going to pay in loss of parry/block over a rapier. It's possible they're good against groups with large numbers of Bosses/Minibosses, but there's too much luck involved to try and set up something and they probably have very little advantage over a mage setup under even the most circumstantial of situations.

Estocs only get better once you level up a lot, so domino strike and attack accuracy raise a lot either.

You mean like raise it to rank 2? You need the ability focused Aura at Tier 7: Master Unlocks at Level 60. http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Abilities

This isn't a HV related question.
