QUOTE(rawrboy @ Oct 8 2009, 07:50) Alright so recently because of the update I haven't been getting any Godly's in cake runs, So I went to normal to try and farm some godly potions/draughts. 6 rounds in I run into Mithra, always fun to get 1 shotted by a Boss. Little bad luck, I mean it's not often you run into a boss. Decided to try to farm normal again after a little bit of cake grindfest. 4 rounds in I run into MBP which resulted in me being 1 shotted again.
Am I just having a bad streak? or are these guys gonna keep popping up before i even get to round 10. Also it's impossible for me to kill them until I'm level 70 right?
Not impossible, just stupidly hard. Look on the how to kill legendary thread for help. Chances are you really are just having a bad streak, I normally run into a few minibosses by the time I get to round 10, but I haven't seen a boss in ages. As far as farming goes, you had better hope you got luck on your side. Even with LotD and Sav trained pretty darn high the chances of you finding any even past round 50 are much slimer than they were. I personally find it easier to smash through a bunch of rounds on cakefest, sell all the averages' and such and then buy Godlies and the such from the item shop.

SuperBosses show up quite frequently in Normal Grindfests -personally, I've seen them in about 10-20% of the Normal Grindfests whenver I choose to do one of those. You'll simply have to go down to the lower level tiers (Easy and Cake) if you want to avoid them. My Question is: If you choose one of the Titles with a DMG Bonus listed next to it....is that DMG Bonus referring to the DMG that you take, the DMG that you dish out, or both??This post has been edited by Thanos008: Oct 8 2009, 14:02

Guess I'll stick with superiors then, and with the amount of elixirs being drop I guess it's not too bad. Also won't be able to kill bosses for probably at least another 24 levels =/ lets hope i stop running into them.

Of course its the damage you make.

QUOTE(Eutopia @ Oct 8 2009, 06:40) Of course its the damage you make. There's no such thing as "of course" where Tenboro is concerned; he keeps his own counsel. From what I've seen of the man's work thus far it could go either way -either extra DMG dealt out by you as a reward for getting this far, OR extra damage dealt out to you as the price you pay for claiming one of those fancy Titles for yourself ("you say you're a Master now, eh Thanos?!? Well, prove it!!") Like Mother Nature itself and his pet cat Snowflake, Tenboro's whims are often unpredictable. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) Second Question: I'm sorry that it's not that clear to me from all the Posts made about 0.3.7 and 0.3.8., but I have to ask: Even though Evade is no longer listed in our Character Stats, do we still actually have it?? I'm a Heavy Tank, considering switching over to Light and/or Cloth. This post has been edited by Thanos008: Oct 8 2009, 19:09

I tend to use equipment that are much higher level then my own like the majority who plays the game. I would like to know how your level affect the stats you get from the equipment. For example I'm level 47 and the BW duration on my 2h is 5 (3) w/ 354 (108) dmg per tick.
How would i figure out when it'll become a duration of 4? and how much dmg per tick it increases per...lets see 5 levels?

I looked at the scaling thing recently and worked out part of it, but I only had data for my own level which leaves a lot of unknowns. Tell me what level your weapon is and I'll see if I can figure it out.

Um, I think I figured it out. It makes fuck all sense, but it works for every bleed weapon I have (6 of em). Someone else see if this works out for them. It worked perfectly for 5 of em and was off by 1 point for the 6th.
assuming you are using a higher level weapon of course Bleed damage = [(current level/weapon level) * bleed damage] + [0.1 * (weapon level - current level)]
I know I have a redundant set of brackets, but people seem to miss out on order of operations so hopefully this should make it entirely clear. Anyways, the first [] makes sense, and the second [] confuses me greatly but it works for me so...
Basically it seems that you get a percentage of the bleed base on your level as a percentage of the weapon level, and then you er, add 10% of the difference between your level and the weapon level.

What, if anything, increases the amount of MP you get from striking monsters with a Staff Weapon via Ether Theft??
(right now, I get 4 points at a tick.)

I'm pretty sure it can vary by monster, and monster's level (don't quote me on this). There isn't a huge difference though; my range appears to be 5-7points per turn.

[(48/181) * 354] + [0.1 * (181-48)] = 107 Current bleed dmg = 110

107.17 which would display as 108 as HV always round up to the highest whole number for non-decimal displays.
less than 2% variance, I'd assume is was due to the way tenb rounds or some other fuzziness in their somewhere. I havn't had it go more than 2 or so points in either direction yet. Can anyone else run a few weapons and see what they come out with?

Try this: Scaled stat = Basic stat * (Your level + offset) / (equip level + offset) For BW damage the offset is about 12. In graphical terms: I don't know if the same principle applies with other stats. I had a look at something else (I think it was Magic Damage on a bunch of staffs) and it seemed to follow a similar pattern, but I couldn't be bothered to redraw the graph to fit in the point where the lines crossed... Edit: Corrected due to inability to decipher my own calculations. This post has been edited by Sayo Aisaka: Oct 10 2009, 02:21

From the weapon that I can remember off the top of my head, that comes out to a 10 level offset to make it work, and that also matches pretty close with rawrs numbers.
16 offset goes too high as far as I can tell. I'll try my other 5 weapons later.

Oops, that was me misreading my graph. I had to draw it at a funny scale to fit on the paper. (You should have seen the weird results I got when there were two 80s on the level axis... Maybe I should use a computer?) The offset should have been 12, not 16.

How does Overcharge work in terms of amping up your Attack DMG??
Is it, for example, a one-to-one increase in a raw DMG number, so that someone who puts in 50% worth of AP points sees the DMG that he deals out go from 100 pts. to 150 pts.??
Or is there a different formula (and if so, what is it)??
