QUOTE(sekirei07 @ Oct 1 2010, 20:29) I never realized that the moment you cast poison is important. If you cast it while PR is up the poison will damage it as if it is still has PR on even if the mob no longer has PR on.
Yes. QUOTE(sekirei07 @ Oct 1 2010, 20:29) In all honesty he never once one shot me. Even crit Outburst did a max of 1.7k to me.
There is absolutely no way to survive Puff of Logic. QUOTE(sekirei07 @ Oct 1 2010, 20:29) Is the only real viable way to win to bleed them to death?
You can do it with a staff as well.

Staff? How so? Ether Theft to offset the lose of MP? Or like a high Depreciation Staff to bolster poison DoT
Oh, now that I think about it I guess I Absorbed every Puff of Logic.
Oh, is slow also a good option to put points into? Or is it not worth it against Gods or does it not make a difference. I honestly have trouble keeping up 3 debuffs (psn, blind, weakened) and getting a few hits in before having to recast them even with maxed abilities

This. QUOTE(sekirei07 @ Oct 1 2010, 21:14) Oh, is slow also a good option to put points into? Or is it not worth it against Gods or does it not make a difference. Slow is nice if you have trouble keeping up with their damage, and not particularly necessary if you don't. (And not a great idea to use if you are killing them with poison/bleed). What is your deprecating proficiency?

Ether theft. I posted my fight with Yuki using a staff a few pages back. I used the same basic strategy against IPU and FSM.
Expect it to take quite awhile though. My fights against IPU and FSM were both around 2200 turns long. I had like the shittiest Divine and Forbidden prof. though. I also did it with just using a couple of Godly Spirit Draughts each. It'll go faster if you're willing to burn some items. You also don't need mitigation gear if you do it that way. I just went in with a high ET heaven-sent staff + evade silk. Not very good evade silk either, at the time.
Ah, and Boggy brings up a good point. Your divine and forbidden prof. were like mine when I did the gods. It doesn't make it undoable, just longer. However, your deprecating and supportive prof. are way worse. Half your level for supportive and 1/3 your level for deprecating is pretty bad. Raising those will make the fight 10x more bearable.

QUOTE(sekirei07 @ Oct 1 2010, 21:41) I see, I do magic montage every night and while normal playing in Arena/Grind I keep full IA4 up to level my support. My staff skill though is almost none existent, like around level only 8.67. Is that a big problem? My Eva gear is also as following: http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=0fd4861cc3http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=b10bc91eb7http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=c1e1f1b1c4http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=3bfbddece9http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=57928abafbHaving trouble finding these kind gears in silk form though. Yeah that staff skill will kill it. Doing it with a staff kinda relies on your ability to be able to proc CM -> ET consistently. Your CM chance would be horrible at that proficiency. Overall, going by your general proficiences and equipment, you'd probably be better off doing Bleed with mitigation gear honestly. Also, decent evade gear isn't that hard to find really. Lots of it in the WTS threads *cough* my sig *cough* Of your posted equip, that extremely under-leveled cap and the pants are the only 2 that would really even qualify as evade gear. Montages are pretty much worthless. You have to spam spells to keep up proficiencies. QUOTE(sekirei07 @ Oct 1 2010, 21:41) My staff skill though is almost none existent, like around level only 8.67. Is that a big problem?
It would effect your ability to get Coalesced Mana. QUOTE(sekirei07 @ Oct 1 2010, 21:41) Those aren't that good...

I know they arent good, but its what I came across as I bazaar. I guess I should also use up my saved Blood tokens (got 8 left after that FSM) and use them on legendary ones. I know I can beat them.
Also, I only do Montage when I am asleep, not like I can spam spells while doing that lol
I also find it strange how my cap is so low level but has the highest evasion of the gear I got. Its only average and level 16. Maybe I should IW the hell out of it...
But why is silk better then gos? From the wiki page it seems that Gos with the added help to MAG Acc it would be the better pick.
But if I were to do DW method I guess Axe would be main hand? But if poison only really effective when AP is up wouldn't rapier be better for better chance of process?

The point Boggy was trying to make is that it isn't enough to rely just on montages. Not even close. Your cap has 4 base evade, which is ok, but nothing special. If you want to save yourself 100+ levels of IW, just buy a cap out of the WTS threads. Technically Phase would make for the best evade gear, but silk being able to spawn with the fleet suffix makes it the most readily available as far as high evade pieces go. If you're able to find high evade gossamer/phase, more power to you. Axe is main hand. You don't need PA up all the time. Poison is like 20+ turns per cast. So you really only need PA to proc every like 20 turns, which is more than doable with any decent PA rapier in offhand. Not to mention that the bleed on a good axe will FAR outdamage even PA poison at your level.

You must have even worse luck than me, and mine seems to be terrible. QUOTE(sekirei07 @ Oct 1 2010, 22:08) Its only average and level 16. Maybe I should IW the hell out of it...
You'll find better because it isn't that great. QUOTE(sekirei07 @ Oct 1 2010, 22:08) But why is silk better then gos? From the wiki page it seems that Gos with the added help to MAG Acc it would be the better pick.
Silk generally has better evasion than gossamer. Good gossamer or phase would be even better. QUOTE(sekirei07 @ Oct 1 2010, 22:08) But if I were to do DW method I guess Axe would be main hand? But if poison only really effective when AP is up wouldn't rapier be better for better chance of process?
Axe mainhand, rapier offhand. Anyway, I could probably lend you a set of gear if you want...

naw its okay, right now skilling up seems to be my main goal now. 100 proficiency > +2-3% more eva for now I think.
I guess I will have to stop spending all my money on training skillups....

I want to know if I'm ready to take on the level 50 RoB bosses with the equipment below. I've killed ManbearPig 3x in IW's but don't know how much more powerful the RoB version is. DW set AxeRapieror Niten Ichiryu Set KatanaWakizashiArmor CapChestGlovesPantsShoesEdit: I have a level of Pack Rat and plan to take 5 superior Mana Draughts and 2 Scrolls of the Gods. Put the rapier in the main-hand, and choose a shield, or a dagger with good parry. This is a lot better than axe+rapier which is for Gods (since they're physical immune) or griding faster.

Good advice, shield+rapier worked much better than two stun weapons for me, and I breezed through the lv.75 girls. This is my best rapier, that's my (broken?) shield. Armor wise, I am quite happy with my kevlar setup: PD: 29A, 12%M, MD: 40.7A, 12.9%M Avoidance stats are: 20.4% evade, 44.3% block, 12.3% parry, 38% resist. I have autocast shield for 30-something absorb, and SV for almost 15% more evade. Spell wise, I rely on Haste on myself, Weaken, Poison and Blind on the opponent. I DO NOT have Bewilder or Silence. Now, do you think I am ready for the Gods? The wiki page could use a section dedicated to taking on the Gods...

Rapier + Shield sure is great for evading all kinds of nasty stuff.
But what about the damage output? Is the one hand proc + counter combination significantly weaker than the offhand proc?
I think a shield built into an evasion-build would be contradicting the intention of not being hit. With an offhand-attack, you can do much more damage when you are faster than the opponent (which you want), regardless of the actions of the monster. But a shield can only proc a counter-attack, when you are hit and block the incoming attack. On the other hand, Overwhelming Strikes could serve as a damage output almost equal to the DW build.
This is making my head spin.

That's exactly why I wouldn't suggest that anyone use a shield ever.

Al Gore was overreacting.
Just beat Manbearpig in the ring @ level 50. Admittedly I used the only scroll of the gods I've ever seen, but he went down even easier than when I met him in randoms. 58 turns, using a staff hitting him with inferno and meteor every freaking turn. Only hit him with my staff once, and spark never triggered. Absorb took down his only spirit attack. Only took 1726 damage with a health of 538, and hardly used any items.

Well, it's not like I was expecting to run into ManBearPig in the Item World (Average Bronze Chainmail Mitons of The Windwaker, level 18), but It required A Lot of patience, considering that MBP had 5005 hit-points, and I was only doing 30-50 damage per hit.) Also, if you are running low on supplies (MP, HP, Etc.) You're probably Fucked O_o

just fyi item world scales by round, so running into a boss pre round 50 means they do a fraction of the damage you would see in arena.
