Then I guess I suck way too much

Something I didnt mention was that my interference was pretty high which difficulted the casting of weaken for me, but if I didnt carry all that heavy gear I would have recieved more damage, right?

Nah,weaken is more important in such 1 on 1 situation.
I wear full cloth and with weaken MBP only deal 80ish dmg to me.
And yeah I did somehow managed to doudge the global warming.
PA plus tire 2 fire magic do wonders to MBP.
Oh and of course I beat it with the help of one scroll of the gods and one infusion of gaia.

When I managed to cast weaken, I recieved only 50 damage so I guess only 30 damage away doesnt make much difference.

Mmm...I was originally a balanced mage and had just recently shifted to dualwielding battle caster.
So things maybe different to a tank(?) like you.
Sorry.

Not necessarily. Weaken helps a lot, since most bosses are going to spend their time wearing you down with strong physical hits in between their big attacks. It's way more important to have less interference, you don't want to waste mana on missed spells, especially when their timing can mean the difference between victory and defeat. Good armor is only going to help so much if you can't get off an all-important spell at exactly the right time.

And on top of that, lighter armor generally means higher evade, which means you stand a better chance of not getting hit by most attacks at all, even the big ones. So you can afford to wear armor that isn't as heavy, so long as you're casting the right spells to keep that damage to a minimum when and if you get hit. Yes, it's good to have a solid defense up when you do get hit, but it's far better not to get hit at all.

For me, at least, heavy armor just gets in the way of my magic, which is increasingly becoming more vital in boss fights.

3rd boss I killed in RoB, this time White Bunneh (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

(IMG:[i45.tinypic.com] http://i45.tinypic.com/2wp08ia.jpg)

Now I need another token to take out MBP, my last boss to kill before starting beating legendaries (or get beaten) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Items I used:
1 scroll of gods(didn't need it at all)
2 superior mana draughts
2 great spirit draughts (because I used my spirit attack without PA on effect, I'm such a idiot) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

what is funny is apparently it was a piece of cake to me (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
with weaken and shield on 60-70dmg and only 450dmg with is spirit attack (actuality hit me 2 times with it)

The difference of strategic I did this time is that I used haste and poison and what a difference it make: I didn't need spark of life at all and I could kill him without using PA+spirit attack, so probably I only need 3-4 items of 7 to kill these guys and that's makes me happy because now I see Endgame less scary than before (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Neat how your credits match your level. Also, congrats. Endgame is still a ways off for you (and me, too), but it's good to get used to the bosses early on. By the time I got to White Bunneh, I knew how to handle it, so I had a similar experience (minus Haste, anyway).

Yeah

And you still had problems? When did you start trying to cast your deprecating spells? With high interference, it is a good idea to start trying when they start to flash.

Whoo, look at how close I came this time to beating the IPU with nothing but my regular weapons and equipment. I took a screen shot of it right before it defeated me. I had no health, mana, spirit or items left and I knew it was going to get me with the next click.

(IMG:[gannonman.com] http://gannonman.com/image/HV_IPU+battle+2nd+cropped_467273873.jpg)

This time I used Mana Elixirs and two Infusions of Gaia and two Spirit Elixirs and I used Weaken, not Silence. When I try it again I think I'll ditch the Infusions of Gaia and bring extra Spirit Elixirs with me. Poor Unicorn, I have such a huge spirit tank for him to try and eat through.

And what's funny is right after this battle when I went to heal myself, I recieved a Spirit Elixir as a frequent healer item.

Did you find that he tended to use Perplexing Paradox soon after his SP maxed out, or did he wait a long time, like Real Life does?

I don't know, I think he waited. I was too busy recasting spells to notice much of anything else going on. Also, I increased the size of my spirit tank with some extra ability points I had. It's really insane now. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

So how do you have so much Power, anyway? Spend a lot on Power training back in the day, or something? Of course, your Septua Star aura makes a big difference too.

the 1.3mil karma also helps.

Tens, what was your main source of damage against the IPU? Bleed and poison or were you using offensive spells? What were you doing for (incoming) damage management?

I used Weaken, Poison, X-Nerf, Spark of Life and of course I have Cure II, Regen II and Heartseeker (those really use up MP). When my Spark of Life would expire, that's when my health took a dive so I always had to watch that. Otherwise, it ate my spirit but since my tank is so big, that bought me time to attack it longer.

Killing IPU is going to be similar to when I won against Real Life. I just have to keep trying to beat it with pretty much nothing but my strength. It's kinda fun doing it this way and I have so many blood tokens I can do it all I want. I just need to find the right balance of items to bring with me.

Tenboro capped my power a long time ago because he hates me.

Sorry to break this to you, Tens, but your huge power bar does sod all as far as Spark of Life is concerned. It consumes 50% of your base SP, so the more you have, the more it uses. The only way to increase the number of times you can use it is to put points into Spirit Tank or take Spirit restoratives.
