QUOTE The lvl 50 RoB monsters are fairly easy to defeat even @ heroic setting. You should first invest in at least one Infusion slot, since those RoB monsters have an elemental type weakness. All right, thanks.

(Apparently, I can't edit my last post . . .) Well, that was anti-climatic. No preparation mattered as Shield Bash turned them into punching bags. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) Infusions did end it faster though, so asking here wasn't fruitless, right? QUOTE 10 6 Arena Token Bonus! [Chaos Token] 10 5 Arena Clear Bonus! [Average Cotton Gloves of the Thunder-child] 10 4 Dalek dropped [Dalek Voicebox]
9 7 Arena Token Bonus! [Chaos Token] 9 6 Arena Clear Bonus! [Fine Gossamer Gloves of the Demon-fiend] 9 5 White Bunneh dropped [Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch]
8 6 Arena Token Bonus! [Token of Blood] 8 5 Arena Clear Bonus! [Average Leather Boots of the Thunder-child] 8 4 Manbearpig dropped [ManBearPig Tail]
11 6 Arena Token Bonus! [Chaos Token] 11 5 Arena Clear Bonus! [Superior Rapier of Balance] 11 4 Mithra dropped [Mithra's Flower] Stats because I have nothing better to do. Going to add 1 to Dexterity. And then 5 to Strength, Agility, and Wisdom. Less worry about Dexterity since I'm planning to get an Ethereal soon. QUOTE(sarofa @ Jun 17 2012, 11:11) spark of life is the most important thing in dealing with legendary
Yeap Spark of Life is a Must, but as a Scroll, not as a skill. I wasn't too hot on dealing with Legendaries as credits weren't a issue a month or so back, but now every training route cost horrendous amount of virtual cash, so finally I decided to deal with... Real Life. And it is possible to deal with RL with magic spells. It takes some doing, but it is very doable - need decent Spiritual prof. tho (mine is atm 68.xx) More or less it was like that 1. Sleep (15 turns - plenty of time to load all buffs you have+first strike capability without any interference) 2. So all buffs available - Scroll of Gods+Avatar+Protection+RegenII+Arcane Focus+Flame Spikes (useless but feel good factor is enormous (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) )+Haste+2 other scrolls available+Godly Health+Godly Mana+ Infusion of Gaia (v. important as Soul is the only thing that can hurt it)+missed something... anyway; 3. Imperil 4. BUBBLE GUM! 5. Pray for Channeling Effect to appear every turn (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) 6. Let the battle commence - Soul spells (7 turns min. to make good use from Bubble Gum) mixed with casting Holy (useless) just to gain Breached Defense and then striking with Poison for explosion (very cool), and bashing monster with staff to gain 50% overcharge for Skill attack (stunned for 4-5 rounds). Repeat until is over. Use Godly Health/Mana as yo see fit. Enough said that RL never damaged me for more that 2500 health (out of ~4400), at which time I simply infused another health potion. I was most worried about "agitated state", only at that time monster was really dangerous. In the end it took ~10 minutes to smash that thing, but I haven't resolved to brute strength (Void) to save my Void Shards. FSM and PU will be much easier as they have serious weakness each. But all those credits will be needed later, he, he... As a bonus I got some lousy useless Fair Estoc worth circa 210 credits. Pretty pathetic when you consider that ManBearPig earlier that day dropped Fine Phase Shoes of whatever with 5 superb stats (selling those at the Bazaar would yield nearly 2000 credits, but I'm not that stupid to sell (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)) Cheerio and have FUN Boys and Girls. Don't take HV too seriously. Don't follow the pack, create your own fighting style.

IPU and FSM both deals serious damage, with FSM having crazy speed as well. With RL Elemental Magic is probably better. Just cycle and rely on the explosion.

Agreed. As a mage, I took down RL pretty quickly. IPU was difficult but I was able to overcome it. FSM, however, was a total nightmare. I would barely scratch it with my Holy spells (It's supposedly weak against it) and was often one-shotted soon after. It happened on so many occasions, I seriously contemplated getting a full Heimdal set. I was shocked to find out how expensive it was.
In frustration, I tried something crazy and ended up easily beating FSM on my very next try. I abandoned my mage build and went melee. Strength and Dexterity stat were about 20 points lower than the rest. Full power gear, a tower shield, and a club. Nothing special. I used 7 Featherweight Shards on all my equipment. Had 3 Scroll of the Gods, 10 Infusions of Divinity, 3 Sup. Health pots, and 3 Sup. Mana pots going into the battle. I simply kept Poison and Blind on FSM at all times while having Shadow Veil, Regen, Infusion of Divinity, and the occasional Spirit Stance on myself while I wailed at it with my club. 300+ turns later, FSM was dead. I wasted 2 Scroll of the Gods thinking that I might get killed. However, throughout that entire ordeal, my health was never in critical condition. I'm saving my Noodly Apendage until I'm lv 280+.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) Good ol' Shield Bash (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Just got my first Token of Blood today, and faced ManBearPig for the first time on Normal. I'm used to doing Random Encounters on Hell or higher, so MBP turned out to be pretty smooth sailing after Haste + Shadow Veil + Shield Bash. Maybe it helped that I had a Void weapon, and evaded his special attack toward the end. (Next time I'll save Shield Bash for the end so he can't counterattack before dying.) So now I have a Chaos Token, and can find out what this Monster Lab stuff is all about (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (Edit: Or not... guess I need another token to fill the unlocked slot with something, sigh.) Also a trophy. Thinking of offering it for a (hopefully nicer) shield. This post has been edited by midvalley: Jul 9 2012, 01:57

I have a question... someone could tell me what to do to fight RL, IPU or FSM? I use DW and light armor... when I'll reach level 110 I'll get silence that must be always active...
I thought...
1. Haste 2. Weaken (always up) 3. Silence (always up) 4. Various Buff 5. Fight like no tomorrow
This is a good build? xD

QUOTE(MSimm1 @ Aug 10 2012, 16:11) Cute, I should read the wiki now and then. Okay, I will see if those advices are sufficient to beat IPU. Thanks for your kind reminder.

You know, mitigation gear + 25%+ et staff beats it anyday, especially at your level. It used to take 3 hours for me to go through fsm with a 50% et staff at iwbth, but since the nerf, it takes 20 minutes. If you look at the first post in the thread, this was started to find ways to beat manbearpig. It used to be pretty impossible without silence, unless you were in flimsy cakefest. Now you can just one shot it with a tier 3. Normal monsters are another story...
