i have to fight flying spaghetti monster but i'm a mage some month ago i tried to fight it but i ran out of mana using holy spells. I'm still not confident to do it even now...
what is better to do? could i make it using dw? (it's the melee style where i have best prof 116) it's not necessary to use dark dmg mit gear? a good kevlar equip it's enough? what weapons should i use? i have a good rapier but in offhand? or should i use double clubs to maximize stun and getting a longer but easier win?
holy infusions are a must for what i know and i think it's better to relocate stats for a melee build
what are you advices?

What do sword chucks do? Also, does the stun chance for the clubs stack?

I haven't read the thread for a while. But just in case anyone cares.... This is how you beat a legendary. This is for speed, mind you. If you actually have trouble with them, use stunning weapons, and study Character Stats from wiki. Most Important: Use a piercing weapon in main hand What you use in off hand comes second. To do it the fastest depends on the legendary. For best results: Use ethereal piercer in main hand and ethereal club/axe in off hand. Don't take my word for it, things change with every patch. Though the above line has been true for the last several patches. ===EDIT=== Ethereal main weapon that procs piercing is the trick. Doesn't matter if it's soul or void. What to wear in off hand depends on the weapon. If you got strength, use a good club, if you're weak, use a heavy bleeder that procs often. This post has been edited by Bunko: Sep 12 2011, 16:04

Well I have a 21% crit rate with a semcrappy 2h sword... plus I've never even seen swordchucks drop, let alone someone selling them, they must be retardedly rare

QUOTE(Ballistic9 @ Sep 12 2011, 23:00) They were removed from the loot table a few patches back (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Unfortunate. I never had the foresight to look for the highest ACB one. The only one I decided to save was a 15% ACB which is rather low for Swordchucks.

Just beat Ryouko on normal in 54 turns without needing to use any items with silence, poison and smite. I burned two infusions of divinity though. Should I be able to take Yuki down with this? She seems to be weak against the same style.
edit: got impatient and decided to go for it without waiting for a reply and it went just as smoothly. next up is FSM.

Hello, I kill them easily with DW daggers with high%proc + high Parry Sometimes i use DW club+high%proc + rapier+high%proc+%parry Ethereal weapom is the key, void/soul damage is great (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Depc spells = Silence ONLY Supp spells = shadow veil+haste Healling = regen+heal All levels can die, in battletoads or IWBTH i consume several GMP or AMP ONLY, less i barely use anything more than 1 or 2 AMP/GMP. Real life i still cant kill it higher than nightmare dificulty (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) IPU and FSM higher kill = Hell (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Thanks, and sorry for my poor english.

Before the latest patch, it would usually take me 300+ turns to beat FSM... I finally got enough Tokens of Blood to try again after I hit level 150, and the results were awesome:
104 9 You gain 1039 Credits! 104 8 You gain 21554 EXP! 104 7 Your HP and MP have been fully restored! 104 6 Arena Token Bonus! [Chaos Token] 104 5 Arena Clear Bonus! [Exquisite Plate Helmet of the Wind-waker] 104 4 Flying Spaghetti Monster dropped [Noodly Appendage] 104 3 You are Victorious! 104 2 Flying Spaghetti Monster has been defeated. 104 1 You hit Flying Spaghetti Monster for 6543 holy damage.
I used a DW setup (club and rapier), a soul stone, and Infusions of Divinity, and had FSM under Nerf, Poison, and Silence at all times... when I had both Stun and PA proc'd, I was hitting it for up to 14k+ damage at a time, which is an order of magnitude more damage than I used to be able to manage. I completely forgot to try my spirit attack to see how much damage that would do. I just wish Tokens of Blood would drop more often...

I've gotten to lv100 recently and I want to know when I should challenge RL, unicorn, and FSM.
Should I challenge them at lv130 when I got my arcane meditation? or are they beatable with enough scrolls/infusions?
Should I start training up profs since all of these bosses have elemental as resist/imperv?
btw im pretty much pure mage.

RL was asking on thisthe resultBut it was before the 0.6.4 patch. I don't really know whether at this moment the same tactics can be applied as easy as then. I think I'll wait 150 for IPU (getting dark spell as well as raising forbidden proc first). and for FSM, maybe after arcane meditation, or gambling with melee new skill chaining cool damage.

I managed to kill a random Dalek at 35ish, was pretty cool. I procced a few stuns, and when the spirit bar was full, I used Shattering Blow to stunlock it for the last half.

My 2H melee character just beat the Gods (RL, IPU, FSM) for the first time at lv 117 (normal level of course), basically followed the suggestions in this tread. Thanks to all the people posting advise here!
I used to think void damage is a must, and now I know the key point is to Silence them all the time, and you can beat them with not-so-impressive equipments and consumables.
The procedure mostly looks like this:
Begin combat: Silence (will last around 10-12 rounds, and I was lucky the round 1 Silence never missed)
Casting buffs: Haste, Protection, Shadow Veil, Regen, Spark of Life (never used up, just don’t want to take any risk)
After buffs, cast Poison, use infusion on their weakness (you can skip this when facing Real Life), and just keep on beating / stunning them.
Without SP attack and Magic attack, these Gods can only hit you with 200+ damage (500+ when critical) physical attack, and most of the time they will be stunned thanks to the mace. I didn’t save the record, but should be done at about 100-130 rounds.
Below is my not-so-impressive data for reference:
****** LV: 116-117
Offence: Physical Attack: around 1000 (2H Mace, damage around 400 at this level, 19% stun for 4 rounds; not too hard to find at Bazaar, and you can get better deal with people on forum) Hit chance: 87%+ Two-Handed proficiency: 80+
Magic Attack damage: 60+ (for Poison, the damage is about 100-110 per round) Magic hit chance: 80%+ (luckily, just missed once or twice for Silence) Deprecating proficiency: 1-2
Defense: HP: 2700+ MP: 200+ Heavy Armor proficiency: 60+ Supportive proficiency: 70+ Physical absorb: 20+ Physical mitigation:37+
Mitigation to Soul, Holy, Dark: 0 (was wearing power armors, would be better with proper gear)
******
Heal: Regen and sometimes Cure
Buff: Haste, Protection, Shadow Veil, Spark of Life
De-buff: Silence (very important) Poison (slightly speed up the beating)
Consumable used: Around 4-7 infusions and 4-5 Godly Mana pot (for FSM)

I reached level 100 the other day, and my situation is partially similar to yours. I have beaten all the legendaries/gods in Ring of Blood, except for "Real Life". FSM took some 300 turns. The character is mostly melee w/ 2 handed style. I tend to cast Protection, Regen, Spark of Life (only used it for Gods, as it just became available at level 100, before that I've used Scroll of Life or Scroll of the Gods). For FSM, I've used some 3-4 Godly Mana potions and 1 Godly Spirit Potion (I think, I didn't count - I have 9 Battle Inventory slots - 1 for a Godly Health Potion, 0-2 for Godly Spirit Portions and the rest for Godly Mana potions; I also have 2 Infusion slots and 2 Scroll slots). I tried beating "Real Life" yesterday, but failed, it's just very hard to do damage to it, so I'm thinking I should try something that deals void, although I never had any Ethereal weapon drop yet, and I don't see them in the shop either. For FSM and IPU, they both have weaknesses, so I can at least use 2 infusions (do you have more infusion slots? how'd you get them?). A good amount of damage was from Iris Strike + Backstab for FSM and IPU. I'll probably attempt "Real Life" again later, although I don't want to waste my Tokens of Blood if the chance of winning is low (maybe my last failure was due to accidentally using an elemental infusion to which it's imprevious). Also, I've been consuming a bit too many Godly Mana Potions for the higher arenas (the two level 100 ones), mostly for Regen/Spark of Life/Protection (although I tend to just cast SoL when I have Channeling effect) and one-hit kills for regular monsters aren't as common anymore. Unless I somehow fix this, it'll be hard to do the longer arenas and cost too many Mana Potions (funny how a melee character needs so many). Any suggestions? I'm thinking I need better equipment or to try that Forge. Another problem might be that since I've got Spark Of Life, I've been more reluctant to use Spirit Stance, which does give a good damage boost. Edit: Just defeated Real Life as well, although I did use 2 Infusions of Gaia and 2 Scroll of the Gods (and 2 Godly Mana Potions). Only took 156 rounds. I suspect the reason I failed so miserably in my first try was because of the elemental infusion I used. Now that I have all the Ring of Blood completed, should I just use my remaining Tokens of Blood on easier ones or on harder ones? Can only gain 1000C from each battle, so the question is if there are differences in what The Shrine gives for Throphies. This post has been edited by Uiharu: Feb 7 2012, 10:40
