You still get hits unless you use EW gear, but yeah, essentially the legendary won't hit you.

My first try against Konata was a big success! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) [ img23.imagevenue.com] (IMG:[img23.imagevenue.com] http://img23.imagevenue.com/loc38/th_817741439_Konata_123_38lo.jpg) 186 rounds using Longsword of Balance. Technically it was Bleeding Wound alone that beat Konata... (well that, and the ~5000 quick damage thanks to Bubble Gum's criticals) 0 2 Spawned Monster A: MID=20 (Konata) LV=74 HP=36115 MP=12 SP=9 NA=175 Type=hostile ------ 57 1 You hit Konata for 53 slashing damage. ------ 79 4 Spreading Poison hits Konata for 10 damage. ------ 184 1 You crit Konata for 75 slashing damage. ------ 186 5 Bleeding Wound hits Konata for 218 damage. Also made constant use of Poison/Weaken/Bewilder and used the following items: 1x Bubble Gum <3 1x Scroll of the Gods 5x Scroll of Shielding 1x Infusion of Gaia (worthless, should've used Infusion of Storms instead.. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)) 2x Superior Mana Potion 1x Health Elixir 1x New Pair of Pants when: 147 3 Petanko Smash hits you for 1119 crushing damage. 147 2 Konata uses Petanko Smash 147 1 You hit Konata for 60 slashing damage. 146 2 You are healed for 281 Health Points. Quite scary when your life total is ~1400.. the number surprised me so much that I forgot I had Spark of Life on.. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Looks like people keep advocating bleeding wounds. Do they all have really high endurance? Hard to stack raw physical damage unless bubble gum-ed? I was thinking of going club/rapier but that sounds like a 300+ round venture if they have very high endurance (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Damn, failed by Mikuru again. Time Quake got me by 30 HP over. I shouldn't have been so stingy with Scrolls of Life. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

In order to beat a legendary, you need to poke them with a stick ! Example...
13 2 Konata has been defeated. 13 1 You hit Konata for 5309 soul damage.
34 2 Yuki Nagato has been defeated. 34 1 You hit Yuki Nagato for 4280 soul damage.
33 2 Ryouko Asakura has been defeated. 33 1 You crit Ryouko Asakura for 5608 soul damage.
29 3 Mikuru Asahina has been defeated. 29 2 Your offhand hits Mikuru Asahina for 3274 soul damage. 29 1 You crit Mikuru Asahina for 7117 soul damage.
Spirit Shield and Silence are handy too.

The level 100 ones are tougher again. And of course they don't have many "weaknesses". The beauty of BW is that it does the same amount of damage to everything, no matter how strong it is.

gotcha. i guess i was just shooting in the dark looking for a way to kill them fast without bleeding because that seems to be the route most people take. was thinking a high ADM club with rapier on swap. if the club goes slaughter for as high ADM as possible and rapier goes high parry and high balance mods (AAB and crit %) then i was hoping for a *decent* session of damage when the penetrated armor proc lands. seems like the axe/rapier would be superior though (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) in which case, it'd probably be best if it's axe of illithid + rapier of balance? high accuracy, some mana leech, and bleed? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) e: meant high ADM club with rapier on off hand* This post has been edited by dcherry: May 9 2011, 22:43

Woo hoo! Just killed Real Life for the first time! I did a lot of prep research on these forums/wiki, and along with my evade equipment (and a ton of scrolls), it resulted in the following 485 rounds later: 485 10 You gain 50538 Credits! 485 9 You gain 23898.35 EXP! 485 8 Your HP and MP have been fully restored! 485 7 Arena Token Bonus! [Token of Blood] 485 6 Arena Clear Bonus! [Average Dagger of Focus] 485 5 Real Life dropped [Black T-Shirt] 485 4 You are Victorious! 485 3 Real Life has been defeated. 485 2 Your offhand hits Real Life for 246 soul damage. 485 1 You hit Real Life for 424 soul damage. 484 5 Spreading Poison hits Real Life for 60 damage. 484 4 You evade the attack from Real Life. 484 3 Real Life gains the effect Penetrated Armor. 484 2 Your offhand hits Real Life for 163 soul damage. 484 1 You hit Real Life for 397 soul damage. 483 4 Real Life gains the effect Penetrated Armor. 483 3 Your offhand hits Real Life for 200 soul damage. 483 2 You hit Real Life for 434 soul damage. 483 1 You gain 0.03 points of dual wielding proficiency. If anyone is curious, I decided to use the following set up: Main Weapon: Fine Ethereal Rapier of the NimbleOffhand Weapon: Superior Ethereal Dagger of the NimbleHelmet: Exquisite Silk Cap of the FleetBody: Superior Silk Robe of the FleetHands: Fine Silk Gloves of the FleetLegs: Superior Silk Pants of the FleetFeet: Fine Silk Shoes of the FleetMy derived stats at the time of the fight were: 2,336 HP 365 Mana 325 Spirit Overcharge 220% 42.3% Evade 35.9% Parry Instead of the bleed weapon + shield or high parry setup, I went in using dual wielding Ethereal weapons with the parry suffix, cloth evade gear, and about 5 or 6 of each Scroll of the Avatar and Scroll of the gods used. In addition, I used up about 5 godly Mana Potions to upkeep Regen II on myself, as well as Nerf, Silence, as Poison on Real Life. I didn't use my Spirit Attack at all during the fight, I wanted to keep Spark up and actove as an option. Although looking back, since Silence was defuffed on Real Life the whole time, there wasn't any chance of a 1-hit KO from Real Life. In addition, I don't think Real Life did any more than around 800 damage from a critical hit on me at a time since I kept it Nerfed the whole time. Being a melee, I was pretty apprehensive at first on taking on Real Life. I saw a lot mages be able to own up on it, and I wasn't sure how a straight dual wielding melee would fair. Oh yeah, Real Life spawned with 260,580 HP, and I was level 151 when I took it on. This post has been edited by Draylof: May 14 2011, 07:48

I haven't seen anyone said about this yet, so... QUOTE Scanning Real Life... HP: 192533/247955 MP: 243/491 SP: 39/510 Monster Class: Ultimate Melee Attack: Soul Weak against: Nothing Resistant to: Soul, Crushing, Slashing, Piercing Impervious to: Fire, Cold, Elec, Wind, Holy, Dark 36 2 Your offhand hits Real Life for 430 slashing damage. 36 1 You crit Real Life for 843 soul damage. Eth = Shit ... and Bleed = King for the tougher god (or indeed, RL). BTW, slow FSM is slow. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) EDIT: RL behavior seem to have changed. Now he's as spirit happy as another gods. This post has been edited by buktore: May 14 2011, 17:42

I went to kill Invisible Pink Unicorn for the first time, but I used the wrong gear, wasn't about to waste 3 tokens so I stuck it out... 5 Superior mana and 1 godly mana, countless dark infusions, several switftness/shielding/shadow scrolls and 1345 turns later... Accuracy: 1138/1138 (100.00%) Crits: 238/1138 (20.91%) Offhand: 416/1138 (36.56%) Resists: 7/1043 (0.67%) Avg hit dmg: 177.21|59.69 Avg crit dmg: 269.25|0 Avg dmg: 196.46|59.69 Hits taken: 159/268 (59.33%), Missed: 0/268 (0.00%), Evaded: 77/268 (28.73%) Parried: 32/268 (11.94%) Crits taken: 38/159 (23.90%), Total taken: 118971 Avg taken: 748.25 1345 9 You gain 100047 Credits! 1345 8 You gain 24091.04 EXP! 1345 7 Your HP and MP have been fully restored! 1345 6 Arena Token Bonus! [Fine Shortsword of the Ox] 1345 4 Invisible Pink Unicorn dropped [Unicorn Horn] 1345 3 You are Victorious! 1345 2 Invisible Pink Unicorn has been defeated. 1345 1 You hit Invisible Pink Unicorn for 249 dark damage. I used an Illithid Club mainhand and high bleed Shortsword offhand mixture of light and phase armour Kept IPU under nerf and silence all the way through, my god that was long. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Are you sure you weren't cheating (lol)? I was incapable of beating that bitch until just a few minutes ago, and I have 2370 HP, and 458 MP. She kept Instakilling me with that Petanko Smash attack of hers (The most she ever did was 2900 Damage, and that wasn't even a critical O_o). Although, to be fair, I never really thought much of the "Weaken" and "Bewilder" spells (That is, until I began getting my ass handed to me repeatedly). I don't even know if Weaken would've saved me if Konata had used Petanko Smash in her agitated state. Luckily, I was able to kill her quickly after agitation through use of Bubble Gum. That item probably saved my life. Also, Bleeding wound did aid much in the disemboweling of my opponent. So did those Mana Elixirs. Also, photographic proof: This post has been edited by tentacle-man61: May 20 2011, 19:48

Well, I decided to go after the Invisible Pink Unicorn (IPU). After who knows how many Scrolls of the Avatar, Scrolls of Shadows, 9 Godly Mana Potions, a couple Scrolls of Life, and 769 rounds later.... 769 9 You gain 101037 Credits! 769 8 You gain 34811.03 EXP! 769 7 Your HP and MP have been fully restored! 769 6 Arena Token Bonus! [Token of Healing] 769 5 Arena Clear Bonus! [Average Plate Helmet of the Spirit-ward] 769 4 Invisible Pink Unicorn dropped [Unicorn Horn] 769 3 You are Victorious! 769 2 Invisible Pink Unicorn has been defeated. 769 1 You hit Invisible Pink Unicorn for 464 soul damage. 768 1 You hit Invisible Pink Unicorn for 525 soul damage. 767 5 Bleeding Wound hits Invisible Pink Unicorn for 195 damage. 767 4 Spreading Poison hits Invisible Pink Unicorn for 59 damage. 767 3 You parry the attack from Invisible Pink Unicorn. 767 2 Invisible Pink Unicorn gains the effect Penetrated Armor. 767 1 You hit Invisible Pink Unicorn for 518 soul damage. 766 6 Bleeding Wound hits Invisible Pink Unicorn for 195 damage. 766 5 Spreading Poison hits Invisible Pink Unicorn for 59 damage. 766 4 You parry the attack from Invisible Pink Unicorn. 766 3 Invisible Pink Unicorn gains the effect Bleeding Wound. Despite Cloth evade being nerfed, I decided to use the same set up that I used versus Real Life (besides, I didn't have any good Shade evade equipment at this point): Main Weapon: Fine Ethereal Rapier of the NimbleOffhand Weapon: Superior Ethereal Dagger of the NimbleHelmet: Exquisite Silk Cap of the FleetBody: Superior Silk Robe of the FleetHands: Fine Silk Gloves of the FleetLegs: Superior Silk Pants of the FleetFeet: Fine Silk Shoes of the FleetMy derived stats at the time of the fight were: 2,428 HP 392 Mana 370 Spirit Overcharge 230% 36.9% Evade 36.4% Parry Again, I went in using dual wielding Ethereal weapons with the parry suffix, and Cloth Silk evade gear. I decided against using Scrolls of the Gods this time around since 1) They are harder to get/more expensive and 2) I only really needed the replacement of the Evade and Spark of Life effects from two weaker scrolls. In addition, I only really used the Scrolls of Life when IPU became agitated, in case he somehow 1-hit KO'ed me with a crit or I failed to cast Silence on it successfully on time. Again, I didn't use my Spirit Attack at all during the fight, I wanted to keep Spark up and active as an option. I kept IPU Nerfed, Silenced, and Poisoned the whole battle, supported by a weak bleed from my off hand ethereal dagger. I don't think IPU did any more than around 800-1,000 damage from a critical hit on me at a time since I kept it Nerfed the whole time. IPU spawned with 434,125 HP (level 154 spawn), and I was level 157 when I took it on.

Who the fuck did you buy all that equipment from? Jeezus fuck. How did you only use scrolls of life when he was agitated, if his spirit hit it should've 1hit KO'd you.
Also, congrats.

Grats on killing IPU, Draylof. I'm curious, though; why did you use Ethereal weapons instead of Infusions of Darkness? It help save infusions back in the past. However, regular and eth do same damage to Gods now, reduce its usefulness VS Gods. Eth still work pretty well against the 4 school girls, though. My offhand slash do about half the damage of eth mainhand, which means Gods have the same resist for both damage type. QUOTE 454 2 Scanning Invisible Pink Unicorn... 300 2 Your offhand hits Invisible Pink Unicorn for 634 slashing damage. 300 1 You crit Invisible Pink Unicorn for 1056 soul damage. 292 2 Your offhand hits Invisible Pink Unicorn for 375 slashing damage. 292 1 You hit Invisible Pink Unicorn for 707 soul damage. Oh well... might as well just post it. @ 147 - 1x Greater Mana / 2x Godly Mana

Since I'm coming up on it pretty soon... How do the Trio and the Tree bosses compare to other bosses/legendaries?
