What is the hit chance affected by?

The wiki formula for physical hit chance is very accurate according to my tests, and I assume it's the same for magic hit chance as well:

Magical Hit chance = 80% + WIS * 0.04% + proficiency_bonus + (main_hand_Magic_Accuracy) + (off_hand_Magic_Accuracy) + (helmet_Magic_Accuracy) + ... + (feet_Magic_Accuracy)

Assuming you have maxed abilities in Staff Accuracy and Cloth Spellacc,
proficiency_bonus = 0.02%*staff_prof + 0.05%*cloth_prof

"Offhand Magic Accuracy can be achieved with a Buckler of the Battlecaster for the One-handed playstyle, or any Battlecaster weapon for Dual Wielding/Niten
Contrarily to the Attack Accuracy, the Magic Accuracy of the offhand weapon is counted in the Magical hit chance" at least according to wiki. I haven't tested it however.

I have a b4f5 Rapier.
I am very hesitant to change to b5f4.
Can give me some advice?

To my understanding b4f5 is better than b5f4 unless the rapier is near Peerless quality. And I'd say even if the rapier is peerless, the marginal benefit is just not worth it until you get all of your other gears right.

Afaik forge level doesn't really necessary as long as your equipment hasn't been soulfused yet as there are some forge service shop, though I've never use any.

Never did it. Although Wispy Catalyst and Low-Grade Material are inexpensive, I've always found it a waste of credits to do this procedure.

My forge level went up quickly because I made upgrades up to level 13 on the equipment I used, and every time I changed a part, I repeated the process. Well, it's true that it consumed a lot of credits, but I ended up using those equipments for quite some time. So I think it was worth it. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Oh, and just as a curiosity, if there were no 50 level limit for the Forge Level, my current level would be 118. That's because when you get to level 50, when you hover over the Forge Level experience bar, the first number (current amount of experience) stays at 0, but the second (amount of experience needed for the next level) keeps increasing. In my case this second number is at 29750.

Well... Let's see.

Based on the forge calculator... Seems like getting 1 Forge EXP is worth about ~43.3 credits.
(That's getting 5 upgrades across the board on some crap rapier/leather/cloth piece)
You get most of the low grade cloth/leather/metals back....

Taking salvage into equation it seems to be abouuuut:
13.5C per 1 forge EXP.

You'd need 249,750 forge EXP to go from lvl 22 to max.
That's ~3.4m credits.
Worth?

Notably, according to the wiki forge upgrade factors are logarithmic, the early levels are the most important. Wouldn't worry too hard about being in a rush to max forge level... unless you're a mage, in which case maybe those smaller optimisations are make-or-break, I wouldn't know (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Yea, the main reason I'm trying to get my forge level up is because of maging haha.
