if your main priority don't pay much on equip
go to weekly auctions when they start and do starting bids (50k) on 1 equip for each slot.
if someone overbid you - you don't lose anything. if not - you get legendary for 50k.
so you can get 'not so good' power armor set only for 250k and try 1H heavy.

I wouldnt say it sucks, 1H is just overall better when it comes to defence and staying in spirit stance nearly all the time and such. And like i said some people still play DW, a few maybe even 2H. Hey, i know even one with a full arcanist set, he is having fun. So if it actually sucks is up to you. When you have fun playing it, the answer is of course no, but if you dont have fun. I mean percentile range 80%. Your shield is pretty good, but not end-game good. Yours has 56%, and 80% or higher would be an upgrade. But then again, you could also keep the shield and start working on your mage gear.

Haha, I suspect I know which expensive rapier you are talking about. The relevant question is probably whether it has been sold and how likely it is for someone to have that much to be willing to pay for that rapier (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I have just got a set of superior leather set of equipment
But I would like to know when I should change my equipment
As I am now lv160 but the equipment are mostly 100-140
I know that soulfuse them are stupid, but when should I keep using the equipment instead of changing them when they are seriously "off" my level?

I'd say around 20-40 levels depending on your level, always use the freeshop service to get better equipment and free potions, there are a lot of them in WTS section.
Also at your level you might want to start considering to change your playstyle into 1H + shield and power armor as it is the most stable build that's reasonably cheaper compared to mage mmm...

arenas, because all arenas without SG = 879 rounds, drop rate same as fest (except crystals), but clear bonuses gives more equip, credits and tokens
oh, and arenas are easier, so you use less restoratives and other items

Yeah, and when the ashtray is full you buy a new car. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) I actually can see it. You replace your equipment with equipment that is worse and you just dont notice it because you dont have outlevel it as bad as the other one.

Well, the best "chances" for equipement you actually have in REs.

And if Fest or arena would be more beneficial depends mostly on your perks. If you dont have at least Crys IV arenas give you of course much more, the same goes if you just dont care about crystals. I mean fest is mostly for getting crystals and so that players still have something to fight when they allready made all arenas. Hm, i guess arenas are better. More credits and together with clear bonus more tokens and such.

Soulfuse superior equipment? That's a waste of soul frags.

That is why soulfusing them is cheaper als soulfusing higher tier equipment. And if one does his RE on a daily basic and dont want to soulfuse a ridiculous number of sets at the same time he will soon dont even know what to do with all the soul fragments that are pilling up in his inventory.
