Thanks, back in my days, I broke bank and bought this thing, I just equipped it and the level changed from Unassigned to my level, 385, I assume that just made its value go down quite a bit?

since it's an old gear, chances are that its value was quite low already to begin with. 0.82 patch brught up a revamp in stats, so all the previous items aren't that appetible. should still be good as a beginner staff, but once you can put your hands on a mid-tier new willow, this one would be useful to retrieve some bindings and eventually as a memento, if you want to re-purchase it from bazaar

Still no, sorry, even an average cotton/phase would be better than leather.
You need mainly two things for a mage build, magic damage and proficiency.
Cottons/phases give both, leather/shade neither (well, wis and int from Arcanist actually give a bit of MDB, but whatever, it's pretty insignificant).

Also if you build a crap build which is 3X slower than melee you aren't really going to farm a lot of prof.
Just farm when you will get a decent mage build and spend that time improving your current build, increasing the level and getting rich, which are things that will make a mage build much easier (while spending time in leather mage won't).

But if you really want to farm mage prof I would build a cheap cotton/phase set and farm as 1H mage (it would still be a bad idea since you don't have no cooldown imperil but would perform better and has been used with good success before).

Imo this is a hard decision. Personaly i really dont like using mythril. But the Zircon really has lower damage and imo i really dont like those 0% MM of it. But i also really dont like those 17% of the warding. PA are nearly the same so they are no help to decide this.

I would say go for the mythril one, but remember that it is not really a great piece and i dont say that because it is warding. I say this because mythril and low PM and just average MM. But at least the damage is good.

Parry only works on physical
Resist only works on magical

I thought about 1H-mage, but while I'll have an acceptable Leg staff at level 250, I don't think I'll get a suitable 1H weapon for 1H-mage until around 280; besides I'm not planning to level up fast for a while still.

If you only play PFUDOR Arenas every Day, I don't recommand 1H-Mage, using Staff is better.

Hey guys. I need help. I tried to play this game for some quite time already, but im getting troubles now, when i play arena. What do i need to do to improve my performance? (Already have OFC)
1h+Shield=best survivality for me, but im getting oneshots from mobs in ring of blood, on minimal difficulty.
