What Im wondering is, what Your equipment actually looks like with which you are figthing? you are almost lvl 400 and still dont know that plain Leather is not useful.

maybe post your gear here and let someone judge it?

My fighting style makes use of power armor, but I've only recently begun using the auction sites and WTS/WTB sites for the equipment that is just taking up space.

Would I get in trouble if I create a topic in the forums asking someone to rent me equipment?

I'm running with exquisite/magnificent sets of Cloth armor, but all of them are between 100-150 level and I'm over 200. I'm feeling like in a couple of levels my armor will mean squat.

I don't want to invest over 100k in equipment I will eventually discard or salvage, and all of the shops I come across sells things above level 300 (which is useless to me)

First thing I did.

The freeshop gives equipment once a week and the ST's don't have cloth. And the rest of the shops sell equipment over level 300 or overpriced.

Let me guess, because players below 300 are playing with 1h or 2h style so they don't have cloth to rent or something like that (maybe (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) )

I assume you're playing Mage since you use Cloth armor, Mage is generally not advised as it's quite expensive and most of the related abilities aren't unlocked yet, have you thought about switching to a different build?

monkey_lmf has some level 200+ exquisite cloth in his shop for between 2k and 3k.

For Arenas and RoB DW, otherwise just stick with 1H, 2h is in a bad spot right now.

2h is best all-around style. DW only excels at sgs, but it's not terrible and there are lots of """viable""" weapon and armor combinations. Unless you have a lot of gear laying around and really like IW you'd be better off throwing money at mage stuff instead (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I come before you today to seek your treasured guidance.
I just got back on the hentaiverse the other day after a brief absence and I feel lost. I know that half of the problem is the fact that I am playing on IWBTH difficulty but I need to because I am trying to get to level 300 so I can get that special skill for clearing the last arena challenge on IWBTH difficulty. However, this is beside the point.
The real problem that I am facing comes from the fact that it seems that no matter what I do large groups of monsters just seem to kill me too easily. I have mitigated this problem by spamming spark of life in combat, but then I usually end up running out of spirit and dying anyway. I would just like to know of any ways of decreasing the damage I take from large groups of enemies and powerful enemies in general.

Here are my stats and abilities.

Not an expert by any means but you put too many points in strength and not enough in dexterity and endurance. You also should update your gear - should be mostly magnificent if not legendary- check the wts section - light armor pretty cheap and katana/wakis also not too much. One hand will be easier to survive with, but dw should also be fine if you update gear. Also, is spirit shield available for you yet? That helps a lot too.

Get better gear, try 1h heavy with high block shield. Check decondelite auction for low level 1h weapon and shield. If you spark of life all the time: this is not the difficulty you are looking for. Try way lower difficulty until you get better gear.

definetly Niten or 2H with a perfect Estoc

- More agility, less strenght
- Shade of the Fleet or at least Legendary leather
- Wakizashi of the Nimble
- Haste, Shadow Veil, Protection, Spark of Life (Innate Arcana slot)
- Cast Weaken one or two times when there are between 7 and 9 monsters

At your level I already had no problem on IWBTH, although most of my equipments were legendary...

Problem 1: using niten. But it's only iwbth mode so let's just accept it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
Problem 2: no debuffs. Weaken cuts damage by 50% and disables crits. Imperil lets you kill MUCH faster and is pretty much required for niten, especially with light armor and vs schoolgirls. If you're really trying to save points, you could use just sleep to disable three monsters while skyward sword kills the next five before they get a chance to do anything, but I don't think you'll have enough power without Power heavy armor.

You should be starting the round with skyward sword and killing all five procced monsters before penetrated armor wears off, but this requires an ethereal waki of balance for 100% offhand strike (or as close as possible), and both weapons to have two different infusions on them to get six strikes each hit. If you still can't kill fast enough, you'll have to start the round with sleep, or cast weaken a bunch of times, or start the round with about 160oc so you can use stanced skyward (110oc) and still have some left over to kill with. "Better gear" should ONLY come after all possible player improvements have been made.

It'd be a lot easier if you switch to dual wield and use power gear, since stanced frenzy is a guaranteed 5-monster kill and you'll have stun from club and parry from rapier to disable monsters while getting penetrated armor to cripple their defenses without needing skills or imperil, and it can be done with self-found random-drops gear. But if you must use niten, that's how you do it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

PS the waki doesn't have to be ethereal, you'll just have to item world it to ten to get the void strike. A non-eth waki is far less burdensome than a non-eth katana.

So it looks like I should just drop nitem style and either switch to regular dual wielding with heavy armor or go one handed and (unsure on this) keep the leather armor.

And I should start using debuffs?

I mean, I use silence for whenever I go up against Real Life, Invisible Pink Unicorn, and Flying Spaghetti Monster; and I have invested ability points into the skill so would that be enough for the regular arena monsters I will encounter?

Also, for the rapier/club dual wielding combo, which goes in the main hand?

I will also be trying the spirit shield skill.

If you go DW, you ppl need to go light, mainhand rapier of slaughter+offhand waki of nimble/balance. Your level is too low, heavy DW with club of slaughter(main)+rapier of balance(off) might be too hard for you to survive in PFD.
Just my opinion, DW 2H players should know better than me.
If you go heavy 1H, you only need imperil, but silence/weaken will help you at your level.
Spirit shield is a must, get it now and put it on IA.
