Short story
Reading the Ask the Expert post on the first day of HV I found [b][color=gold]O[/color][color=mediumspringgreen]F[/color][color=gold]C[/color][/b] is kind of a must for melee so I set my first goal at collecting the ponies. Then I went on reading and learnt about [b]Innate Arcana[/b] Perk. I was hyped at the upkeep reduction and went on unlocking level 2 of the Perk, totally forgetting about OFC. Probably I am playing the game wrong since I use quite a lot of mana for [b]Regen[/b] and other buffs. The moment when I clicked on the [b]Purchase[/b] button, I was like...RIP. That's 95% of my credits gone(mostly from The Arena first clear bonus).
Finally I got ~400k to spend after half month saving :)

So the reason the RNGoddess was originally named "Snowflake" is that the equips were supposed to be more or less unique, since the RNG can have 2^32 possible seeds. But due to the birthday paradox, there will inevitably be collisions of sorts when enough equips have been generated.
With the same parameters, the odds of getting the same seed twice at least one time is about 50% with 80000 runs.
