Since we've been talking about stats: mmit, resist, and dark resist are all extremely valuable vs schoolgirls once you're starting into those arenas (before you can plow through them). A while back I checked damage logs to figure out why I was getting bopped so hard and noticed a ton of magic damage, especially dark. I knew that player monsters were more fire and holy, so I re-checked
system monster attacks and said 'oh yeah, that's right, duh'.
[and in case anyone else was wondering: the "spirit" columns in monsterbation damage logs show the hp that would have been lost but was instead converted to sp damage by spirit shield]
Also worth noting that, on average, resist is more impactful than mmit. This is more pronounced at lower resist values... for example: 10% resist is 14.265% damage reduction, 50% is 58.125%, 70% is 73.395%. That combined with experimenting with stat values and the large amount of magic damage from sgs is what led me to invest much more in wis than agi (with heavy armor).

Speaking of monsters, when you get to choose whether the skill is magical or physical, you can mix and match any of the options, right? So I could have a dragon with basic piercing attack and mp1 skill, magical crushing for mp2, and physical fire for sp?
Yes to all. Had struck out with my initial searches, but just now thought to try "magical crushing". Not the first time it's been asked; would be nice to add a sentence to the wiki.
