you're right, you should go for a balance rapier in that case. But still, keep an eye on those low-level shops, there may be stuff that you can use

Even just level 400 will take a LONG time before you get there as an active player without stars. I know from experience. And by then the entire equip system will likely be different enough that the "perfect" gear is maybe no longer that perfect.

Never mix heavy+light. The armor abilities only work if you wear just one type of armor. You can mix leather and shade, since they're both light armor. Same with plate and power (heavy), cotton and phase (cloth).

is selling trophies in the Market the best way?
I'm at level 247 and battles are starting to drag a little bit at Nintendo difficulty
when I reach level 250, am I better off going to Nightmare or even Normal difficulty
and just rush everyday through all the Arena and Ring of Blood to sell the trophies?
except for Noodly Appendage which I'll use in the Shrine to try get higher tier gear
so far I can win all the Arena at Nintendo and Ring of Blood at Hell, and I get some extra thousand Credits from the multiplier + Auto-Sell useless gear
but wondering if just not worth now that it's getting slow

generally, playing at higher difficulty should give you more income. For SG arena's I'm not sure at this moment. In the past, a lot of players played on Hard in the Schoolgirl arenas, to get through them more quickly. But with the level-scaling in current HV, that doesn't give you much time-saving anymore.

At your level, you should be able to play on PFUDOR. At least for the normal arenas. Or, at least on IWBTH difficulty. That will give you better drops and more income. You're playing DW, right? With DW, you should use the Frenzied Blows at the beginning of the round. Use weaken for the last rounds if needed. Forge your gear a bit. That should make IWBTH possible.

Final remark: HV does drag a little for everyone, it's not just hover hand breeze through it. Especially DW, you can get very good results at PFUDOR with mediocre gear but you need to pay a lot of attention. Time the overcharge, so that you can do the Frenzied Blows at the beginning. And then put imperil on SG and build up overcharge again.

it's been a while I tried the Schoolgirls since I save my Blood Tokens for Flying Spaghetti Monster and Triple Trio and the Tree, since I beed Noodly Appendage for the Shrine

I'm pretty sure I could do IWBTH without much issue if I get better gear
yeah I always save Frenzied Blows for the start of next round
never used Weaken before but I'll give it a try, always used Imperil against bosses
I also always use Heartseeker
my issue isn't really taking damage, but giving damage lol
especially against bosses
in End of Days and Eternal Darkness for example
where bosses show up as regular enemies in rounds
even with Iris Strike + Backstab combo I need still need to do multiple Backstab to kill them
I end up just holding the num pad to auto attack instead to be less annoying lol
because thanks to the club stunning them they never get to attack me

except for the legs, all my gear is still at Exquisite tier
with both weapons at IW10
I need to hoard some Noodly Appendage to at least get Magnificent weapons to make more damage
though I feel not having Auto-Cast is being the biggest issue
after a while I don't think I can last 5 rounds with all defense buffs lol
since the battles can drag so much
so I waste quite some turns recasting everything + healing HP / MP
I know the game dragging was expected
but I feel it's dragging more than it should without better weapon + all Auto-Cast
that's why I'm wondering if I should focus solely on making Credits in lower difficulties

today I'll try rush everything at Nightmare difficulty
just waiting for the Arena to cooldown
not even worry about my Stamina since exp isn't the point right now lol

About the game itself, when I had the same level as your I played the SG arenas in Hell and the ordinary arenas in Nintendo. When I had little time, I reduced the difficulty level of all. Decrease the difficulty level slightly reduce the amount of credits, but also reduces the chances of getting higher quality equipment. What you can do is play only the "Random Encounter" and "Ring of Blood" at the highest level you can. As it is just a single round, I think you wouldn't have so many problems, and you can get good equipment.

Over time your equipment is improving. Just have patience. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) When I was at level 350 I started buying good equipment (level 500), and I could only use them when I arrived at 400 and did soulfuse in all.

Are you correctly allocating the abilities (as well as the necessary points)? I ask that because there were many players who simply forgot to do that, so they had problems with the gameplay.

That's basically the difficulty I've been playing as a whole, except for Triple Trio and the Tree since it's 10 bosses, not confident enough to try that at Hell lol
I was going to lower it just to get Auto-Cast more easily, since otherwise you'll never level up at all by playing at low difficulty

Patience isn't really a problem to be honest, but my luck lol
So far I basically got virtually no Magnificent drops at Nintendo, much less Legendary lol
Even Exquisite stuff barely shows up
That's part of the reason I wasn't too worried about lowering the difficulty
Was going to instead focus on delicious Noodly Appendage and hope Shrine gave me better weapons lol
I do have two Legendary I was lucky to find in the store
just need to reach level 291 and 329 to Soulfuse them lol

Yeah I didn't forget the Abilities, I think I have all important ones at max level possible

Well if you want some more info to improve the gameplay even further the second post in this very thread covers the basics pretty well I think, here's a quick link for your convenience and there's also the wiki which should have you covered too. There's also a few other scripts like the Live Percentiles Script which is quite handy if you browse shops or auctions and some other scripts which you can use at will. You can check those and more in here

And as for your actual question I don't think it is wise to soulbound every single thing you get at that stage. Particularly since gear isn't the greatest at your level and you'll change it soon anyways and soul fragments take quite a while to gather so rather use them for strong gear that is out of reach or just good ones you want to keep using. Maybe wait until legendaries to start doing so, unless you're having a bad time getting any leg at all then maybe consider the magnificents but even then gear falling behind in levels isn't that big of a deal so don't stress too much about it. Do take note of what Basara Nekki mentioned in post #18998 and try to chance gear every 30 levels or so if you're still at the Exq and below range though.
