You're free to giveaway or sell when you don't need them anymore, just don't intentionally ask them for resell purpose.
You can ask more than one time and one item (I changed my mind and now you are welcome to ask for something you'll use in the future since there would usually be a delay in my replying. But better ask only you can use for now if you are not familiar with HV).
