Yes, because you recover 1 per 2 hours. If you play 24 a day, you won't get more than 55-60. I don't think the wiki is wrong.

I have some evidence against that:

The above is my drop record in RE these days, and the "Soul" column refers to how many soul fragments I get each day. Notice that the number reaches 80 occasionally, and can also drop to as low as 25. And on March 12 and 13, I got 70 and 75 soul fragments. If there's a cap this won't happen since the "recovery" don't catch up with the drop rate. Therefore I tent to believe it is all about luck. Maybe there are mechanics preventing you from getting too lucky or unlucky, but most of the time it is just 50-50 I believe.

It's a slightly modified version of firew's hv battle stats script.

The problem with that is, it's hard to prove, as it's a chance. So, keep in mind that getting 80 is not a problem. You just have to be lucky enough, that the first few RE drop their token. 20 can recover within 8 hours, where you aren't done with RE yet, and as such can get those once more.

In other words, your data isn't speaking against the cap idea. Your average and general fluctuations also speak for it. (a bit like a wave, meaning low amount of drops are followed by some higher amount of them and repeat)


Sure it COULD be that it's just 50/50, but when I was actually still paying attention to it, it was relatively obvious that they'd drop much more likely at first and the last couple of RE of the day rarely drop any. Most likely done so you don't have to do all 24 and still get the fragments.
The only way to test your theory would be playing only 12 per day and see what happens over a significant period of time. As far as I know, nobody did that yet.. for obvious reasons.

I remember back when I first started HV, that the Mage-style is for end-game periods while Melee fighters are for the beginning and mid-range periods of the game.

At my current level, how much of an investment would it be for me to make the switch to Mage-style fighter, as I'm thinking about testing out other fighting styles?

Dovahkiin is just a title like Godslayer, that you need to have beaten "A Dance With Dragons" to equip. Do you need to have beaten it in PFUDOR in order to get it?

I beat it a long time ago in Normal, but no title. And it has a set difficulty now, as I understand it.

It used to be that you had to beat it on IWBTH or higher, the arenas is locked at PFUDOR now, which is the highest persistent difficulty, so you'll get it just for clearing it once post patch if you haven't got it already

Something I don't know off hand without looking into it, is whether you get the title if you complete secret pony level or not, if you never cleared dwd on pfudor before, but had cleared it on normal (which unlocks future arenas you meet the level for). But that's a really unlikely case to happen, since anyone capable of doing spl probably already farms dwd.

1. IW your weapon to 1, that gives additional strike. Also, see if you can find a slaugter suffix weapon
2. Get a better shield - this one is too low level for you. But you can sell it for a nice price because it's low level
3. Forge the shit out of your shield (one with higher block, doesn't have to be legendary). Block stat only.
Upgrade your equisites to mangificent / legendary.

That market system had some decent adoption since it removed the tax and as more players got into it on top of being available all day and being impersonal to a degree, but as you can see from the latest posts of that linked thread the thing is dead right now and nobody knows if/when it'll come back, so for now you could try using the Smartsearch script which parses through threads and spits out the listed prices for specific items so you can decide where to buy/sell at the place of your choice.

Am I going to increase or decrease my clear time with this staff? It has higher MDB/EDB, but a little less CR.

I'm assuming the MDB/EDB makes up for it as the CR range is quite narrow, but is this a naive assumption?

Scrap sells for 90 creds in many stores whereas equips sell over 100 credits to the bazaar so unless you're desperate for scraps/low-grade metals I would suggest to just bazaar the avgs/superiors as long as you don't need them.

For auto-salvage most of the salvage items you can get cheaper from other players than the value of equips themselves besides cloth so adjust it according to your materials and equips needs. But there's a good chance that as you level up and get better gear the only thing you'll ever need to auto-salvage are cloth and phase equips, then again this is mostly a personal preference.
For auto-sell just obviously don't set it up to things you are looking for or that might be valuable, like magnificent+ weapons of your style or legendary phase items (because some can potentially sell for millions) but at your level there's no reason to not auto-sell crude, fair or average equips for example.

Shrining has very poor results and most of the people who shrine their trophies are people with the Follower of Snowflake hath perk so unless you're fishing for specific exq/mag items, playing isekai, like setting fire to your credits or have a gambling addiction you can leave it at any setting you like. I still choose to go with the upgrade to tier 5 setting because it's more bang for your buck particularly in isekai.

Don't know if the binding stuff can be done easily without scripts, but I remember playing mostly with the numpad so the Alt mention seems new to me.

Shadow veil yes. As a mage the only ways to activate the spike shield are by getting hit or by parrying attacks; but you're squishy enough that you don't want to get hit and you don't get enough parry to be reliable, also the burst damage is peanuts plus you're supposed to be killing stuff fast anyways so spike shield is mostly an afterthought for the mages.

To be honest, this should be based on physical damage anyway. Aka the characters that actually DO get hit a lot. Though evasion not triggering it would still be weird for the less common melee types. (aka not 1h)

It's just one of many things in the game that really has no particular use as it is. (like a lot of equip types, suffixes, prefixes and so on)
