I got this item from the shrine but I have no idea if I should build around this item or sell it in WTB to get other items. I'm Level 123. I think it's a good item but not sure how good exactly?

Edit: I've read on the advice wiki that from level 200+ that I should probably switch to a rapier with the shield and heavy power armor so I don't know how Future proof that particular two-handed estoc will be.

Most popular build is 1H melee with rapier, shield and power armors, because this build can handle high difficulty easily. Players usually wish to hurry to level 300-400 then switch to mage style.

You can play in any styles but any melee gears other than Rapier&Power worth less, in general.

Except for Triple Trio and the Tree, it's easier than most Random Encounters but takes much longer. I recommend doing it at one difficulty higher than you're currently comfortable on.

Financially, only Flying Spaghetti Monster round makes sense, so grab 1st clear bonuses on all rings then only do FSM ring from then on.

The item is lacking a PAB and a prefix, however a Mag at that level isn't exactly very common to come by so you could always try to sell it for a relatively low price if you're willing to wait for a player in need (the low price is because at low level you don't have many credits so...)

Alternatively you can also play 2H if you so desire, the item is perfectly usable until the mid-late 200s or maybe higher assuming the user is incapable of getting a better weapon or is short on credits. The question you have to ask yourself is if you really want to play with that style or not.

Depends on what difficulty you're able to play but they're way easier compared to the arenas on the same difficulty so you could always try with a Konata, if you're able to clear it you are able to clear everything up to FSM without a problem. Just bear in mind that the Spaghetti Monster and maybe the unicorn have some deadly attacks so if you don't have Spirit Shield active or Life Spark and have low block/parry/evade you're likely to get hit by those and get 1KO'd, maybe not as important when they're alone in their RoBs but it could catch you off guard if you play The Trio and the Tree carelessly.

I remember mag+ cloth and staves being better to salvage than bazaar, and leather being better to bazaar than salvage. Are those still the same, and what about the rest: shields, heavy armor pieces, weapons?

It seems like only mag+ cloth are more profitable to salvage than sell.

And not sure about average and lower quality, could be some of crude equipment worth salvage for scrap.

I was checking my abilities and noticed that I am not using stronger spirit. I have spirit shield on auto cast, so should I be using stronger spirit as well, or have I possibly decided that it is waste of spirit or something? 1h power + shield, if that makes a difference.

The only reason I can think of is that you want it not to trigger. I'd consider it bad though.

1. Should new player use light armor or heavy armor? Some posts say you should light armor but some posts say you should use heavy armor.

2. What will happen if I lose a battle/arena?

yes light armor is very effective at low level, and fairly easy to come by
Nothing, only your gear gets a bit of damage that can be repaired again and again with no permanent problemns

Should I save it for after I hit the recommended minimum level of 300 and switch to Mage style? Or should I sell it on WTS because better items will be available? If I should sell it, what price do these go for normally? Should I repair it before selling>

·You'd better salvage it for HGC. Players need Cotton of Elementalist/Heaven-sent/Demon-fiend, not Cotton of Protection/Warding.

·Follow this guide when you prepare to switch to mage style.

·It isn't a must to repair the equipments on selling.

Please note that the FreeSHop is closed. We decided to close it, because we feel it doesn't have the urgent need that it had in the past. At the same time, operating FreeSHop requires quite a lot of volunteer effort. At the moment, pooaa is doing an excellent job at dispensing gear. However, the number of new players is limited. There is not much supply of really low level gear. And there is no one who updates the shop on the forum and handles the donations at the moment.
