QUOTE(Tgbvfr @ Jan 14 2018, 03:21) I my opinion melee styles should be slower than a mage. If you want clear speed you play mage, if you want survivability you play melee.
But I said: " decrease this difference". This does not mean that it will equalize times. Currently, on average, a mage is 4 or 5 times faster than 1H (same level, perks, equivalent forge). With the change I proposed, depending on the values adopted, this difference could fall to 3 or 2 times. For me that would be more than enough.

Well, no. Even if we take in account non-SG arenas, where mages are stronger, it's no more than 3 times as fast. For PFFest it's twice as fast at most.

Well, considering some more current data, I think you're right. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) I relied more on my personal experience, including observations made a year ago. At that time I did 1 complete HELLfest and took 3h40min. I remember that someone (mage), with close level (just a little above), did the same thing in 50min. But regardless of all this, I still think the time difference should be reduced to 50%. For example, in the last arena (PFUDOR DwD), I've seen some mages do around 9 minutes. The best time for 1H that I saw was 20 minutes. With the changes I've suggested, my hope is that that time will drop to 15 minutes (at best). My best time was 35 minutes (currently it's 37 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ). If with the changes I can make in less than 30 (29:59 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ) I will be very happy. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

QUOTE(gianfrix94 @ Jan 14 2018, 13:41) How is your time in PFUDOR DwD the same as mine, with your equipment? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) What's your t/s? Turns? Reasons: 1-) Difference of levels. The higher the player's level, the stronger the monsters are. Thus, players will only wasting time progressively. This negative effect is most meaningful for melee style. 2-) I do not use scripts. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) Even so I can not know my t/s nor the number of turns (I hope Tenboro adopt it official way (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ). Until patch 0.84, the number of turns appeared on the lines. At the time I did the sum manually and got around 2 t/s. 3-) I do not have IA. Throughout an arena I lose a few seconds by manually clicking on spells (quickbar), and also spent more time by having to use more mana draught. 4-) My internet does not help much. The problem is not the ISP, but probably the way that the information makes of my country to where the servers of the game are. I changed my ISP a short time ago, and overall the times are almost the same. The only advantage is that now the connection is more stable, and the game is not slow even for a moment, not even when more people are using the internet at the same time (that was my biggest problem).

You do not use scripts? Not even monsterbation? You click for every attack? I'm surprised you don't take more time then. And why do you not have at least IA2?

I do not use scripts by choice. I did not even install those "monkeys". And I use the keyboard to play. I'm used to it. QUOTE(gianfrix94 @ Jan 14 2018, 15:43) And why do you not have at least IA2?
I did not find it necessary. Besides, I was used to playing without it. I preferred to spend my haths and credits buying Tokenizer I & II, and all the experience perks. And now I'm thinking of getting Dæmon Duality I.

I'm pretty sure that playing only with the keyboard does give you a loss of speed, but to each his own (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Could i advise you to get a pair of IAs before DD though? They are much cheaper, and not having to waste turn to recast magic and spending less MP is good stuff. This post has been edited by gianfrix94: Jan 14 2018, 20:14

I think I needed to refresh my profile on both main and alt server. I had refreshed on the main server but before refreshing on the alt; five dwd runs had no difference and afterwards it required 2.5% less turns. Apparently there is some weirdness going between servers? QUOTE(Basara Nekki @ Jan 14 2018, 08:09) I do not use scripts by choice. I did not even install those "monkeys". You are comparing apples and oranges. Total turns is the best measure these days. In some cases optimising your browser can make a bigger difference than gear and perks. You are probably using the default font as well...

I do not know that. I use the Iron Browser (version 60.0.3150.1) exclusively for the forum and the game. And the font I use is Arial.

You're far from having everything optimized, but I gave up trying to explain you certain things... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) I gotta write an entire wiki article regarding this matter BTW.

Tomorrow is the seven year anniversary of the Monster Lab. Seven years since these legendary words were spoken: QUOTE(Tenboro @ Jan 30 2011 10:13) What's not done yet is: - class-specific monster upgrades (through chaos tokens)
This year I'm 100% certain the anniversary will be celebrated by adding class specific upgrades. There's absolutely no doubt! Tomorrow is also the one year anniversary of me asking to move into Tenboro's basement, but I'm still waiting to move in. What's the hold up? It's almost like you don't want me to live in your basement (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

It's also nearly the 1st anniversary of when the new forums were due to be released. We're on Valve Time™ here.

I'd be happy if flagging of generic/facerolled monster names were enabled, but class specific upgrades, as well as any other long promised changes to Monster Lab would be a nice treat.
