At least you're getting Ethereal drops. I still haven't gotten a single Ethereal drop in over 700 equipment drops, yet I've gotten a total of 5 phase drops, 13 Dragonhide drops, 4 Kevlar drops, a Shield Armor drop, a Katana drop, 5 Wakizashi drops, 2 Scythe drops, 2 Sword Chucks drops, and others. I've only gotten three phase drops from monsters, the others came from trophies. And my equipment drops are actually more like 1200 XD

I think you guys are all misunderstanding my numbers. There aren't two different values there, I was always just too lazy to add the stuff after the decimal which is why I always said "roughly".

Anyways, even assuming that there are higher values that can roll (unlikely), it wouldn't increase by such a tiny increment at that level anyways.

Instead of max caps, why not max base?

Yes, I know you said those were the rough values. But let's take this cap for example, would it be more accurate to say the max is roughly at 36 or roughly at 37?

All I'm doing is taking the definition of max here, if we choose an arbitrary number to be max, say 36 for example, then that means equipment dropped should be less than or equal to 36. Now I know you said it's a rough value, but can't you also use that same argument for 37? If a piece of equipment has a higher value than the theoretical max, it's only logical to assume that the max should be higher. Considering how small these numbers are relative to its level, I'd say a .72 difference is pretty significant here.

tl;dr:
It's more accurate to use 37 as the max rather than 36 now that a cap with a prof of 36.72 has dropped.

Dunno. It's just been that way. It's also hard to see at a glance how good a Prof. piece is by the base, since it scales up so quickly (unlike Evade for example).
