Well, I suspect the next patch is likely "the Chaos Update" that will activate (and explain) the Chaos Tokens, and require radically new equipment to best exploit the change. Possibilities include Earth-walker Plate or Longswords or Poisonous daggers that process Poison instead of Bleed. Or merely one of the below...

Hmm. There are 12 types of weapons, excluding Staves, and 12 types of armor/shields. I doubt he would suggest holding onto the 2 unique trophies if there was to be a negative effect on equipment upcoming.

The opposite may be possible. Perhaps the balancing is to make certain weapons/armor suck much less.

Or the balancing could be preventing the above from happening. Perhaps by having a quality grade roll that sets a minimum valve for each stat roll that follows based on the quality roll, instead of the current assigning a quality based on a simple stat addition formula.

I looked at your Equipment Analysis thread and its Wiki chart and noticed that Katana lacks my pre-nerf Katana. I can verify the bleed information in that it has @300, 25% of 7 turns with 598 Bleed (Base = 23).

Also, high bleed Katans are better used w/o a Wakizashi, especially in the Ring of Blood. The short, weak Bleed of a Waki can cancel the active long, high Bleed of the Katana, making it more of a nuisance in the RoB. This is why I sought out and acquired this pre-nerf no-bleed Waki. While the stats on the no-bleed Waki are weak, the lack of Bleed makes what little it bring to NT, an added bonus w/o the penalty of interfering with the Katana's Bleed. By the way, this Katana has defeated Mikuru, Yuki, and Real Life in the Ring of Blood.

Its possible that T-Bro will be changing this in the upcoming patch. He did say that waki Bleed overriding katana Bleed was unintended, hence a bug that needs to be squashed.
