Curse-Weaver can be used to help extend and icnrease the amount of damage that Spreading Poison does to the bosses, so I can see how that would help the melee types clear the boss and legendary RoBs...Earth-Walker would also be fairly useful in terms of using spells like Shadow Veil and other spells like that, so I would say that those two would be pretty useful for the mage/melee hybrid type

Does curse-weaver/decap proficiency increase the damage done by poison? I've only noticed the duration go up the past 100 levels.
Poison comes in discrete amounts (168 per turn, 187 per turn, 210 per turn, etc.) which depends on the roll you get when you cast the spell. Something I thought was interesting.

Sorry, what I meant to say when I said extend was that it would increase the damage done by poison because I thought that the higher the depreciating proficiency, the higher the damage done by poison..

I don't know if that is true.

deprecating prof doesn't affect the damage and duration of poison?

i thought that it does affect the damage and duration of poison... or am i wrong?

Deprecating prof increase the duration, and damage "tick" of poison. That's the both reasons why I cleared EoD with DW setting in mid 220s.
