Unless you have a bunch of other good pieces of Heimdall gear, the Heimdall robe should do more damage than the Heaven-Sent one.

Let's assume you have 20% holy damage bonus already (from a staff), and you're not using any holy pieces.
With cloth prof capped:
heaven sent robe:~58.3 prof, means you get 322.3 divine prof, and you still have 20% holy EDB.
heimdall robe: ~18.62, means you get 38.62 holy EDB, and you have 264 divine prof.

If you use the heaven sent robe:
Damage multiplier=(1+0.2)(1+1.6115)=3.1338

If you use the heimdall robe:
Damage multiplier=(1+.3862)(1+1.32)=3.215984

AND if you using 4 pieces of heaven sent the heimdall piece will give you more advantage (actually it's the heaven-sent robe the one that became less effective)

If you have other heimdall pieces, well the heimdall robe is the one who become less effective, to see when it become less effective than the heaven-sent robe, is to add one piece one by one, and make the calcs.

Where did you get that formula from? Wiki has it listed as:

Spell damage multiplier = 1 + prof / 200

If using wiki's formula, shouldn't your equation be 1 + (38.62% x 1) + 264/200 = 1 + .3862 + 1.32 = 2.7062? You could be right though since you are more experienced, but I'm just going with what was posted on wiki.

I can say from experience that I get a damage increase with 2 Heimdall pieces vs all Heaven-sent pieces.

That's a good point. Based on your experiences, it seems like there are more variables to the spell damage formula than the one posted on wiki.

Well, my current robe is marginally better than that one I just found. And all three (including Miwabe's) would be inferior damage wise to my mjolnir robe UNLESS I were to get a high quality mjolnir cap/gloves at which point it might be better to use an elementalist robe. It's annoyingly complicated. On that off chance, I'll continue bidding.

Really though, I'm bidding on it just because I like collecting things like that.
