Interestingly enough, I also got two Ethereal staffs from the shrine. I could have sworn ethereal staffs were removed a long time ago.

Put it in a shop and see. Probably an upgrade to anybody using leather, or sucky dragon, but doesn't stand up to a kevlar equivalent.
