Eh, no. If you acknowledge that robes seem to have better stats in general than other pieces of armor (whether that is true or just appears that way is questionable), then the shoes are comparatively better to the norm of the equipment slot.

I'm aware of that. If you look to the general stats yes you're right, but between crude and fine goes a lot of difference, and when I said ignoring the cold suffix (thinking as elec) I was referring as if the Ichy's phase were Mjolnir (the only useful elemental suffix anyway), since each point of elemental proficiency gives +0.5% damage, you can think as having 4.86x2=9,72 elemental prof which is perfectible normal for fine shoes.
But using the same logic in the kyouri's robe you get 12.15x2=24.3 elemental prof, and that's not common for a robe to have, and even more uncommon for a crude.

I didn't say you shouldn't bought them, It's was just normally when one say something is good, they all aim for that, and forget the others good things, thinking they are the most crap possible or something.
In other words people would might try to buy kyouri's phase without even look to Ichy's one.
