It looks to me like a horrible piece of equipment. But, since hp stays the same across the board, but xp multiplies for item world difficulties, I think it'll be a good grinding item.

Bazaar dropped : [Average Iron Kite Shield of the Battlecaster] << bought it on a whim since it seem to be quite rare and have decent stats (23% block chance at LV 39).

Since I'm at it, I also bought this LV 1 shield with 23% block chance from bazaar a long time ago, just for the sheer novelty of it. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

That is seriously ancient, and probably a Mysterious Box Item. From the pre-Resist chance % era. Don't hold your breath awaiting another Magnificent item. I don't think Magnificent equipment has ever dropped in battle.
