Maxing LOTD is a huge waste of money if you're not a GS holder or a h@h runner if you're after good equipment you should have spent the credits on equipment in the wts thread or on noodles. I've had mine maxed for years and the best equipment I own is either stuff I bought or from noodles which I think lotd doesn't effect.

I always play on IWBTH but I don't have time for the 100+ rounds these days. I usually do the first 8-10 and then random encounters. My LoTD is 10/25 and I haven't real seen much benefit from it to throw more cash into it. I read your horror stories and it makes me want to do it even less. Besides, I pick up all of my MAG/LEG equipment from the WTS forum. It would just feel nice to get some cool high-quality drops for myself instead of waiting for a week long auction to end so I can be outbid by Mr. Fat Pockets at the last second who has the time to play 2,000+ rounds a day and feels the need to horde more high-grade equipment that they already have. No offense to them, but that is just time I don't like wasting.

I'm an average player like you who only grinds in arenas and random encounters. I won't be able to hit DwD until level 300 which is at least a month away for me. Until then it's a slow process, but an enjoyable one for now. Players like you guys make this game fun. I'd appreciate not having to fight the same damn monsters all of the time ... but I guess that is the way it is.
