Well, it's now grasped firmly in my off hand and giving me an 18.9% block chance. By my calculations that should reduce the number of hits I take by about 10% compared to my crappy old Exquisite Ruby Buckler. Which I've sold, btw.

It's not like I can use all of the hundreds and hundreds of equipment drops I get, so it's natural that I sell some of it off. However, I do still have a premium collection of staffs and armor waiting to be used with the "trader."

And to answer your question, no. Not that I ever use a shield anymore, but I've had one with 40% block since I was in the Ruby equipment range.

There's no good reason for anyone to have bought most of those staffs.

I think Tenb did say there was a mechanism that would get rid of stuff if it was there too long, but we're talking within like 2 minutes.

Not to mention the 3 turn ether theft staffs are still there. Not that anyone can actually use them for 3 turns right now >_>

Too bad that Average Prism shorty doesn't have Bleed on it, it'd make a great replacement for my current sword. Its about the same accuracy, but the doubled damage is nice.

I was tempted to, but I honestly have an axe has almost as much bleed, and generally better stats all around.

They were mostly crap items, but what I was really doing was gathering data to see if I could discern a pattern in the drop quality, which if there was, would be used to redeem a unicorn horn or noodly appendage for a high quality ethereal one-hander. I did end up with a Superior Ethereal Shortsword after a few tries with the Legendary tier trophies, but it's not of the quality I'm looking for. If I can reproduce the results a few more times, then I may go for it again later with one of the rare trophies.

And I doubt those staffs were all bought that fast since I sold about 15-20 of them.

Given the staffs were mostly trash, yeah. If they had all been 25%x4 ether theft that'd be another story. Glad to know someone else is experimentin on some of the game mechanics, let us know what ya find out.
