It's currently the best ebony staff, maybe second only to the legendary once it's leveled up to the same level. Coincidentally, I also have the best Katalox staff so I'm not sure where to use my FSM trophies now. Maybe I should try for some magnificent shade or kevlar since they seem to be the rave these days.

Nah. People don't know how to appreciate good items when they see one. Case in point, take the recent magnificent staff I auctioned, it's quite possibly the best item there and it went for 100k. They don't realize the fox suffix means jack shit when the high EDB's and PAB's make it better than a lot of destruction staffs. I'm not going to auction any good magnificent items in the future unless I know it's going to be worth the effort. If I get magnifishits, i.e. redwoods, willows, etc, then I'll auction those in a heart beat, but no more high quality ones until the market stabilizes.

Shade and Kevlar are so rare (and I don't think quality has any effect on their drop chances) that you'd probably end up trading in 50 FSM trophies for 48 Superior/Magnificent Leathers and 2 Kevlars of Deflection.

And for melee weapons it's all about Ethereal which is a 1/100 chance at best. Man, equipment is depressing.

You don't think trying to get good EDB phase from the shrine would be exactly the same as trying to get shade/kevlar? I would think they should be easier to get in the shrine since I get way more shade/kevlar drops than phase.

Im going for just Phase while he is aiming for a Magnificent Kevlar/Shade. So i can use all trophies while he has to use God Trophies.
Shade has a like 1% chance and dunno about Kevlar. Then he has to get a good roll and then he must be lucky to not end up with a Arcanist one...
