Due to some changes I'm planning to how gallery thumbnails work, keeping the external gallery generator functional will likely be a bit challenging.

I'm not seeing a lot of activity for this in the recent site access logs, but before I decide whether to get rid of it or put in the effort to adapt it to the new system, I would like to know if anyone is still using it for its intended purpose, and if so, how and where.

My input is adapting to the new system you have in mind has priority over keeping a mostly defunct functionality and facing extra challenges because of this (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

"No fucks could be given" isn't usually the answer I'm looking for, but in this case, that's perfect. Aand it's gone.

EDIT: Waaait you added more vertical space in the right hand <div>, don't dot that please. It screws my searchmode script for no apparent reason.

Just padding out the vertical space until something else needs to be slotted in there. You can easily tweak the .g2 and .gsp padding values to fit other things.

Too much work. Just dumped it over the title (and below the place where HV REs happen, to not destroy that by mistake).

Since all heights but the title are done in fixed size that's probably the safest place to add new buttons/links. (made this post just to remember this fact myself and not search for it the next time).

That line gives me nightmares at work when IT deletes functions, and features that end up creating tons of workload for people.

I never saw that use for the external gallery code generator. Might have been some people that had a niche scripted use for it, though don't see any fan fare or hoorah with its removal, so it was probably antiquated.
