it would be nice to have a thread where players can post about non-legendary equipment that is still useful to them, but i can see the difficulty in keeping that from devolving into spam

a few days, just to give enough time to everyone to post an opinion. and frankly speaking, if they don't see the big disclaimer i put on description, then they are blindly posting ust because and that thread is useless.

nope. polls are anonymous. if you want to vote you have to put your vote on your face. not that i'm too interested in who votes what for whatever reason, it's only to prevent random votes.

i really wanted to make sort of a poll, since many trusted members voted. but if nobody from the other faction shows up, well... i'm not sure how to deal with that. probably i'll close the topic, leave a note and open an actual poll. or rather, better to leave a note now before having to resort to such a despersive thing.

A mod is always also a despot. Thats part of the job. Didnt anyone tell you about this? Also i allready was a mod once for nearly a half year. TBH i really didnt like it. It is such a thankless task. But in the end i did quite because lack of time.

Nah, i dont think that those are automated postings. It is just a proof that no one of them, care about whats inside the thread at all. So im sure some of them will complaining, but that doesnt negates the fact that they dont care at all whats inside the postings. So, yeah. Let it burn so that uncle can use the embers to grill some meat on his schwenker for his nephews. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Its the perfect weather for some schwenker-actions.

not sure. but i'm sure it can be done for the same equip. plenty of examples in that thread. probably in this case you only need to say to the script: "past this text", while in the case you mentioned you'd need to throw in a bit of randomization algorythm.
