[Mat07] 100 High-Grade Cloth (seller: sansvertu) sansvertu 1.442m Proxy bid after #31, 14.4k per mat
He is also bidding on repurposed actuators and bindings of slaughter this week, while simultaneously selling his own. It's worth noting that for those he stayed away from bidding on his own packs, but I personally think such behavior constitutes shill bidding as well.
ComradeGeneral, if you really needed proof that sansvertu is breaking rules, there you have it. Of course this level of proof already existed before for anyone to see, you just had to look and see for yourself.
I'm not calling for particular punishments to anyone, just asking that rules be evaluated. Not just whether someone is breaking rules, but whether the rules themselves are a good idea.
It should be appreciated that the punishment he got was light. He could have been banned permanently from these forums and even the game itself for the multi-accounting. These didn't happen, although since his behavior is continuing who knows what could happen next.
But I'll return to my devil's advocate approach that started this debate: there are plenty of other ways to resell materials and sansvertu may not be the biggest offender. Is it fair to punish sansvertu and ignore the others? I do not know what happened to Arkoniusx for recently recalling his equipments.
On the other hand, it probably is fair at this point since sansvertu has broken multiple additional rules, shown no remorse, and the perceived "problem" regarding other resellers appeared to show signs of peacefully taking care of itself these last two weeks, until sansvertu came back.

QUOTE(sansvertu @ Nov 5 2020, 09:27) Mat07 cancel
Is there a way to cancel proxy bids? I bid on my own item again orz... Just found this. Well he said it was an accident and he's sorry. I have trouble keeping track of time zones but it appears this was soon after his bid. It should nevertheless be considered that he is still reselling and shilling materials by my looser definition. When there exist multiple mass resellers as is currently the case, through their actions they arguably collaborate or ally with each other even if there is no communication. These are complicated issues without easy answers.

'怪盗2009' checked the range of my proxy bid price for sta02 and raised the price accordingly. He bid sequentially. (1,000k -> 2,000k -> 3,000k -> 5,000k) so he noticed that the my max bids is from 3,000k to 5,000k and he canceled his bid 5,000k and bid again at 3,100k. so, He raised my current bid to 3,193k. (In writing this post, ljzl bid 4,120k.) It is clear that he cheated bid. It is Not confirm in Bid log, attached my notify mm.

I apologize for being incommunicado recently, I've been extremely busy with real life. With regards to the pandemic, I'm one of the "lucky" ones who's seen workload increase as a result rather than decrease or disappear entirely, and I haven't had a lot of time for other things.
I'll answer my PMs, and I'll make sure to do better in the future.

I hope the recent activity in your thread hasn't come across as an attack; your service to the community is still very valuable & we're glad you continue to provide it for free. It would be extremely inconvenient to have to replace it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Wishing you well IRL. Please do feel free to contact me if there's work you can offload to helpers or the mod team.

Stay safe mate Shit times we are in right now, it's understandable. And at the very least, you are volunteering your time, no one has any room, or right, to complain

I would like a bid key though, if you ever get a moment. PMs have been sent. If you don't have a moment I'll just do it manually. Thanks.

Super, it's really hard to compete in your auctions when you don't have the access to the autobid system and people who compete with you for the same item do. Send out new keys, pretty please.

If no one bids on an item to the very end, and you enter the only bid within the last couple of minutes, will you still be penalized?

I'm fairly sure its based on duration winning. if you are the first person to bid in the last minutes and no one counters it with their own, you are still winning for 100% of the time
