So.. I'm curious about proxy bid + regular bid working together.
I saw this in the last auction:

So, rjgc outbid 我叫木头 with a 7m bid through regular posting.
Then (presumably?) he set his maximum through the bid site, or his proxy bid came through or ??? happened
Aaaand he outbid himself with 8m.
That forced an 8,24m bid from 我叫木头.

Now, while the bidding continued beyond that, were it to have ended there, I think as 我叫木头 I would be annoyed that it looks like the price was artificially bumped up by 1m.

The issue is that no one should have been able to proxy bid after 14:00, and the failure of that assumption caused some weirdness. I deleted the proxy bids that were posted after 14:00 and changed some code to make sure it can't happen again.

I normal bidded in the meanwhile, because the site was down for a whole lot of time already and I wanted the item.

Site went back up after 10 hours or so.
I had to go to sleep, so I left a proxy bid and I sent a second PM telling him that my name would display.

I'm not exactly poor, but not merging the times would just be unfair with the rules, so I trust he will.

This item was relisted this week at the same opening bid price. I think that's a proper opening price considering the level but it's not exactly a bargain so it rightfully got no bids last week. (A similar item I bid on sold for 1m the week before that).

Just like sellers aren't supposed to relist items if they can't sell for 50k, I also feel that sellers shouldn't be able to keep relisting an item for the same start price if it doesn't sell. He could do that in a shop or decondelite's auction, where relisting is accepted in general. This is merely my perspective as a potential buyer.

That item is priced rightfully and you are part of the overwhelming majority that decided to rip off the sellers by exploiting super's and kedama's auctions weaknesses. Let that dude do what he wants and expect the amount of credits that can be rightfully expected out of such an item.

That's not because there is a fair amount of sellers who apparently don't seem to give a crap that everyone should get everything for 50k.

I do think that its a reasonable price for that item. N
