Is this the crying corner? I guess i'm venting here now.

So I saved up to like 3k coins and my mmofag thought process be like "good weapon = ez life". So i bought a red weapon (lvl 400ish) while I'm a fresh level 25. Well long story short after some googling turned out its useless for me.... Lesson learned the hard way.

Soo.........how many gajillion years will it take to level 300?
Any more noob friendly advice (beside well...1 i learned today)

Welcome to HV!

First off, assuming you bought the weapon from the bazaar, odds are that you'll obtain a far better one way before reaching level 300, so there's no particular need to hold onto it.

One more question before i go on my merry way (totally not posting this because i need 1 more post (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ), you can only equip gears that is equal or lower than your current right?
Somehow i thought just because soulfuse mention 100 level above yours, it means i can equip gears 100 level above my own.
Seems like a stupid simple question but simpler it is the more it traps people .-.

Yes.

You can soulfuse gear up to 100 levels above you, which then scales the equipment down to your level (the stats on it are adjusted accordingly) and binds it to you, so it levels up as you do. A level 26 player can potentially soulfuse a level 126 equipment (which is scaled down to level 26), but has no real use for a level 127+ equipment.

From a <100 lv to another ... don't scrap or sell to bazaar, there's always time for it later! Put it in the EquipInventory -> Storage instead.

Maybe you reach 300+ in just a few months (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)
Maybe it is a sufficiently good gear that someone WTB (usually from Exquisite above)

Provided you didn't get it from bazaar, then it is untradable - basically, only you can use it, you cannot sell it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) which IMHO sucks, we buy it dear and cannot sell WTF (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Anyway, if you buy to use instead of to storage for future times, stick to unassigned gear, both in bazaar and in forum shops - also, don't be in a hurry to equip unassigned gear, keeping it in storage while you use up the currently weared is a better strategy IMHO, you have a chance to bring it to higher level with better results.

Last but not least, before doing something new, read everything corcerning it in the wiki

No. IW should be for Exq+. Anything below is a waste of time and stamina. You can start considering to IW Exq stuff because Mags+ are very rare when you start needing more power, which is much easier done by forging Exq (to Lvl5) and IW10 them. But when you need something better than Superior... finding an Exq is relatively easy and barely costs a few credits.

I will shop again later, since reading here&there I'm guessing after lv. 100 things start to become difficult; still, from what others say, I gather there's no hurry to go above an Avg/Sup mix at least until 150+.

Also, i'm starting experimenting with multiple persona; first is DW with Leather armour set (my only until now, almost all Sup.), 2nd is 2H with Heavy, 3rd is Staff with Cotton.

Since 2 & 3 must build up prof., using what comes by drops and/or what I manage to get free even if Avg. makes sense, I think - to save better gears for later especially if unassigned or if I have to buy them doesn't seem stupid to me, does it ?

Yes that's exactly the thought process that lead to me buying 85% of my Legs. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)
But it did was a wise decision for a few Mags/Legs that I did buy, as I did reach the level to use them.
